  1. @raptormesh: I meant that it can hold its standing mode, but quite precariously. Change the angle of the stance a bit, or try to move the torso around, the figure will just fall backwards on its knees. Unfortunately I dun have any other vf21/22 to compare with. @raptormesh: I meant that it can hold its standing mode, but quite precariously. 2. Hi, I'm not sure whether I've asked this before, so I'll just ask to be on the safe side. It's about my Max VF-22; is it normal in battroid mode, the figure tends to fall backward at the knees? The ratchet joint is there, it's just that the knee joints cannot really hold any extreme poses without falling backwards.
  3. For me personally, I have nothing against VF-25's design as a mech. It's just the design as a toy that frustates me, especially in the articulation department. Feels as though Bandai just wanna milk money ASAP from loyal Macross fans while the hype is hot, and while the license is theirs, of course . But this YF-29...dunno, seems like much thought have been put into the design. And looking at the latest mag scan, they even highlight the improvement made on the landing gears, showing that finally, somebody inside Bandai, really listens!
  4. Probably gonna get a set of 1/60 GBP armor after this, and repaint it to VFX color scheme...hmmmm, once I installed it on the VFX, might add some weathering effect as well.
  5. improved pilot figure, landing gear and all those gimmicks!? Man, Bandai is going for win this time around. Glad I PO'ed when it was on sale! All this improvement makes my current VF-25s look like vintage, brick toys.....
  6. Malaysia will show on this 28th, and I'm eager to go and see it with my pals! Still undecided whether to watch in 2D or 3D..... damn you, Technology!!! On another note, my friend who has been doing custom paintjob for me has been chosen by Hasbro (Malaysia) to build the Asgard set for Thor figure. Here, you guys can read it here: http://rkdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/04/thor-movie-display-01-official-hasbro.html
  7. Just received mine from R.K. Design Works, same guy who did my 1/48 VF1S Roy Fokker Weathering . This time though I just asked him to assemble and paint, no weathering as I want to see how the command car match up to the Patlabor. As usual, I'm greatly satisfied by his workmanship. *haven't got time to take pictures with the Patlabor yet.
  8. I'm with GU-11 on this, considering a price of a macross valk in my country is easily half of an average worker's paycheck. I bleed thru for my nose for even one of the valks (and plus thru my ears for the SDF-1!)
  9. My sincere condolence goes to him and his surviving family...and all of japanese citizen who are affected by this unfortunate events.
  10. @moose: There have been reports of people getting Super Ostriches with bad shoulders, almost as many as those with good ones, so it is a 50-50 chance. Whether one would consider this a small or big problem is a subjective matter. @gu-11: I'll say just get it. I mean it's a 50-50 case anyway, so might as well get it while it's on discount, right?
  11. ....you guys are mean.....
  12. lol! Got to admit, your pic made my day!
  13. erm...after seeing the pictures, I somehow feels that the glossy paintjob suits the Fire Valkyrie...it being a flashy and showy mech belonging to a singer, as opposed to the more subtle look of military planes. I might not like the show, but boy, I'm a sucka for the mechs! Praying I have enough fund left by the time it gonna be released.
  14. Whooppeeeee!! Really...to fit all those minute details on a 1/3000 scaled SDF-1, after being downscaled from the 1/2000 version, is quite a feat! Except for the price point, which almost everybody agrees, this is a 'dream come true' toy. And personally, this baby sits right next to my 1/24 Patlabor....
  15. Kaneda's Bike is in the same category with SDF-1....and since the Best Of the Best choose only the winner of each category.....
  16. Given the choices, I would love yamato to bring us VF-17...
  17. I WANT THAT!
  18. So far I have only displayed my valks on those stands at exhibitions and conventions, while at home, due to lack of space, I kept them in their boxes. But I just pm'med him anyway just as a proactive measure and since many of you guys reported having the same issue. And to Los credit, his response is fast and accomodating. Kudos!
  19. Ok, I pm'med the guy just now, so I hope to hear from him soon....
  20. My pieces got some fitting issues, but after some trimming it all fits nicely now. I would not go as far as saying I'm being Yamato'ed. If I did, then I might as well add being Bandai'ed, Hasblown, Takara'ed and Mattel'ed to the list, won't I?
  21. It gets worst; this beast looks good from ALL angles!!!
  22. Glad to hear you all have received and enjoyed this piece of marvellous toy. I also received mine from my trusted supplier last saturday, and I just can't stop smiling like a carzy lovestruck fool! You know, everytime I hold it up...The opening theme song from The Macross TV series will play in my head.
  23. Hahahah! I would have responded...but then Seto already states it.
  24. I second the motion...whole-heartedly!!!
