Hahahah! I see that Vanpang already announce it already! Where are your pictures guys!?? Well, to those who doesn't have the chance to be there, I think this is the best event I have attended so far...beats the first macross convention in taylor's college by 10 fold jump! We get to see many cosplayer also... ooookkiieee then....picta time! I was setting up the booth that Saturday morning when I spotted a familiar figure...it's Sheryl Nome! Wasting no breath, I waved to her and asked for photoshoot: "Oii...I'm not ready lah!" "Where's the camera?" "Ah...now you got it right.." Solo pic. -

Hi all! I couldn't help but envy all of ur precious collection! As I was born in a low income family, back then in the 80's I can only drool at all the toys in the supermarket. But now since I already have my own income, there's no stopping me...som I started quite late in collecting macross's toys. I have until now 1/48 Miria VF-1J, Bandai DX Ozma and Luca messiah and few others that I have traded with my friends. But I will never trade or forget my very first macross toy, a Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Roy Fokker's Valkyrie

Ah, if only we can bring Macross World Class event to Malaysia....... *keeping my hopes up Anyways, u guys enjoy! -
just adding my 2 cents.... my version translated that michel ordered alto to run laps with the suit on, WITHOUT turning on the power...which in my opinion is like guiding a car with power steering, with the engine turned off, which is REALLY HARD. He even warned if he caught alto turning on the power, he will make alto double the lap. so no confusion here. *off to breakfast

in one hand I'm happy bandai got it coz normally kits are cheaper... in the other hand, I'm wishing Yamato would produce a 1/60 scale vf-25 to burn me wallet!
-
hi all, dunno if u can help me with this or not. I need part R-L1( right engine intake cover ), pls pm me if available, tq.

What is your opinion of Macross frontier??
boyarque replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Movies and TV Series
hmmm....space-fishing for alien lobsters with giant humanoid mecha? Holly crap! This could be the whole theme behind Macross Frontier... seriously though, I'm still wondering why does Ozma does that while knifing a Vajra? I think the story will unfold more mysteries as the episodes roll on... -

Lol! ....I couldn't agree more. Some anime takes the emotional development too seriously that it borders on being just plain silly! -

boyarque replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well, love n drama seems to be integral to the macross theme, except maybe macross 7? But, yeah, I agree, the mecha and the actions are the main attraction to me. Though I do hope the green fighter doesn't die early like Hayao Kakizaki did. That would take the homage too far. But the cute, innocent face of the pilot reminds me of the Blitz Gundam pilot who died in the middle of the season. That, and the green fighter...looks like bad omen. -

Hi all, I'm a macross fan from Malaysia. Been stupefied by its incredible animation in the 80's ( couldn't afford a toy then ) and been craving for a series ever since. Now, in my 30's, it's great to see the 'Frontier' early episodes do pay some homage to the original SDF series, and like shizuma said, the baddies are downright nasty, something like a cross between EVA and Staeship Troopers! Also, pretty of loose ends and mystery early on, suggesting deeper story line in the coming episodes. Even nice choice of hero ( bishonen I think is the term?), where the brooding, long haired, pretty face are normally reserved for main bad guy. Till now, the funniest ( hint2 ) scene is when the three of them are in the shelter, where ranka, trying to avoid an embarassing situation, accidentally triggered another hilarious one, involving two buns...LOL! Anyways, looking forward to the series! -
Macross 25th Anniversary Convention
boyarque replied to wolfx's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
Hey guys! How could I've missed this thread...bummer! Anyways, nice to know u all enjoyed the event. Though personally, it could have been better organised. But kudos to the organiser for a great job on first time attempt! Just a note: the last venue was not very disable-friendly. Third floor, no elevators, just plain stairway. Lol! I sweat like a....uhm.....sweating man (ahem) going up and down thrice lugging my merchandise. Anyways, hoping macrossmalaysia will live on! p/s: Tobi, t-shirt was sold by the organiser. Dunno if there's any more stock coz it was selling like hot cakes that day ( managed to get myself one )
