I actually bought mine before this review came out...a collector in Singapore ( which just borders Malaysia ), PM'med me and ask if anyone wanna buy a VF-22S for a mere USD150! And like the review said, this is one VF u wil enjoy playing around. Love the color scheme, love the texture, love the 'organic' look. And pairing it with a fold booster is suh-weeettt!

Well well well.....My first deal through HK Collectibles turns out to be a wonderful experience. I made the payment on Monday morning (see my previous post ), and the package reaches me yesterday just before noon! Kudos to the fellas over in the HKC and the HK Postal service! *and nicely packed too...

hmmm....maybe I should try to reinforce the area with a thin strip of metal?

eh? then is this a new case? I dun hold any grudges with Yammie though...I've learnt to accept lemons in life..at least they make for good lemonade! P/s: My past purchase of 1/48 VF-1J miria, the left engine intake cover was not included....ah well...
-
I thought my VF-1j was safe...then I noticed..: well, just have to wait my turn then.....

yup, a VF-0D would be a sweet addition to my fleet....wonder what's keeping Yamato from producing it already? as for the armor, if it comes out you gonna bet I'm gonna sell the rest of my TF for it!
-
I have to agree with Graham, Yamato DOES need to hire you for their commission, lol! Respect the guy who have the funds to buy one of these beauties, and respect the guy who manage to put all this together! Hope the replacement hand reach u soon...

FINALLY!!! Sold of my MP04 for a VF-11B. And two thumbs up for HKCollectibles...I just confirmed my purchase this morning and lo! HKC responded by mailing it straight away this evening... p/s: Thru the invoice, I noticed the seller's nickname is Caju Tree, someone who I used to trade before thru ebay. I'm glad becoz my previous dealings with him are professionally handled.

since nanoplasm is gracious enough to arrange for US residents, I am arranging one for locals of Malaysia...anyone nearby can arrange for meetups via PM ( Putrajaya or Klang Valley prefreable, others please PM me for contact arrangement ).

Haha, interesting topic....and interesting choice of mecha the TS pointed out! Cause I remember thinking I would never be able to own a macross toy coz it's so expensive here ( also the chunky-munky that were offered to me is just a turn off.. ). Then one day ( it was 2004 I think ) in a local toystore, I noticed a peculiar looking jet on the cover of a box which also sports the all-too-familiar kite emblem. The store owner noticed my curiosity, and proceeded to explain that it was a newer version Macross, not like the 80's VF. I was already by the sleek design that I whipped out my credit card..... Today, the Yamato 1/60 YF-19 ( hah! that's right ) parks among my other macross valks, and I still wonder why the heaven did i buy it in the first place.... Maybe it is more of a love-hate relationship...I can't live with it, but I can't live without it either. After all its design fault like Roy Focker mentioned above, I still cannot bring myselt to part with the YF-19.....

Ah, you just took the words out of my mouth! Agree with you, I could not see the hi-metal line replacing my current Yamato-Mania, but as an addition, for variety's sake, why not?? Both Bandai and Yamato have their strong points and weak points, at the end of the day, we just have to weight between value and purchasing power...which in my case, quite weak, hahah!

I think it would be better if you refer to this review: http://www.bmecha.com/mecha-robot-toy/koto...-review-part-1/

oh, how I know the feeling... Got into an argument about this last time with another fella (a hardcore transformers collector). He was commenting on how the 1/60 VF-1 is smaller to the 1/60 YF19. So, I tried explaining to him in layman term the concept of scale...with a smug face he told me." Bah, nonsense! Now look at that (1/48) VF-1S, now that's the same scale with the (1/60) YF19!" I give up after that... Anyways, back to topic, these fighters are good for display piece, am thinking to get a display case or something...
