  1. since we are on on Yamato produce here, any hope of seeing a 1:24 Griffon?? I have the Ingram 1, and it's just marvellous...so a Griffon would complement it nicely... *not good for my financial health though.....sigh..
  2. well, for me, it's just the palm(grip) that needs to be switched if you want the anime TV look, not the whole hands, so it is still an acceptable option... But, if you have to attach whole sets of feet just to look bigger, then it's a major turn off for me. Small compromises in order to achieve perfect transformation is unavoidable, imho. That said, I like my VF-22 just the way it is...score an almost perfect score in my books!
  3. here's to hoping for more yammie goodies! p/s: I seriously wish that they would unveil the 1/60 vf-19 fire kai!!!
  4. yes, deformed, worn or whatever....force HAD to be used, check the pics of the metal plate. And no amount of angling or squeezing or jiggling can pop the intakes out, unless I want to end up with broken pegs like many others. DO NOTE however, after I filed the plastic tabs THEN only I managed to use normal transformation.
  5. Finally, I found the time to snap pics of the VF-1D 'issue': if you can see the pics above, the plastic stubs on top of the intake seemed a bit deformed...tiny bits broke off after I managed to remove the legs from the pegs... Upon closer inspection on the metal plates, reveal: ....on the lower edges of the peg hole, I noticed the surface is uneven. At first I thought it was the excess paint, but after trying to scratch it off, found out that it was part of the metal plate itself! Two course of action here, file off the edge or file off the plastic stubs...and since I only have a plastic filer on hand, I filed the edges of the tabs just a teeny bit. And now, I can transform my VF-1D AS PER INSTRUCTION......
  6. always wanted a detolf....but so far, the money saved goes to buying more valks......
  7. dunno if it is just me...but I kinda find the weathering too 'uniformed'...

  18. launching VFs fleet!!

  19. Old Man, I'm with you on this one....and why stop there? Here's an idea...why don't Yamato launch a competition for fans, those who submit the best paint scheme for VF-1s will get one unit of VF with that paintjob, plus, it will be mass produced! Just a thought...
