  1. Didn't the HGUC Zeta Gundam require the arms be completely removed when transformed to Wave Rider mode? That sounds pretty lame.
  2. During this time of the year, expect to wait an extra 2 weeks or so. When I used to order from them via SAL, and order placed in November did not arrive until sometime in late January.
  3. He also turned down the character that turned out to be Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat and went to make that godawful Street Fighter movie instead. Mr. Bad Career Decisions.
  4. Counting stuff I used to know / do - 38.46%, major geek.
  5. Speaking of Predator suits, here's some interesting news/rumor from the AvP set: New creature suits are REALLY crappy
  6. It's ARNOLD SWARTENAGGERRRR? And it is a clip from a Japanese Genki Drinke Commercial. Sorry Bobe...couldn't resist answering because for once I actually know the answer Rob MN What was he saying though? Reading his lips it looked like "S.O.B."...
  7. I'll second that. Babelfish used to be able to translate Yahoo Japan auction pages, but now it only spews out garbage. Thankfully Excite Japan's translator works, and much better too.
  8. Here's a pre-emptive message for all would be keyboard critics who hasn't made any movies themselves: Congrats, my friend from college scored one of the Leprechaun sequels, good ol' Jersey Joe.
  9. Letterman's Top 10 dumb guy complaints about the movie: 10. I expected something a little more, you know, hobbity. 9. Middle-earth is clearly shot in Regular Earth. 8. It was too long, and it wasn't a cartoon. 7. I spilled butter on my Twizzlers! 6. My name is Stu- Why can't there be a hobbit named Stu? 5. Where the hell is Chewbacca? 4. If there's magic, why isn't there a rapping kangaroo? 3. I couldn't focus on the movie- I was still mad about losing money on the Giants. 2. Frodo ignored me- He thinks he's All That. 1. I haven't seen it yet, I was too busy governing California.
  10. Too bad a poll can't be added to an existing thread...
  11. My favorite opening was TTT as well. The ROTK opening scene feels like a bone they tossed Andy Serkis' way because they feel sorry he did all that work but never actually appears in the movie.
  12. * goes back and re-read every Blaine23 post in this thread *
  13. ??? The Perfect Gundam is from the manga Plamo-kyo Shiro, and Bandai didn't wait around for people to build a custom of it and put it out as a MSV kit way back in the early 1980s.
  14. Well, I finally caved and bought mine last night for $32 + tax (got Best Buy to match Target's price, then used the $5.00-off coupon that came with the gift card). Didn't like the aesthetics of the character designs, especially the "facelift" they gave Mitsurugi. Heihachi turned out to be a lot of fun to play. Even without a weapon he's still deadly. My favorite newcomer has to be Raphael. Range, speed, he's got it all. Can't believe they neutered Maxi. He used to have decent range in the previous game. The stages were definitely improved, but I prefer the character models from the original Soul Calibur better.
  15. Saw it earlier today, both Yamato and Toycom's logos and URL are on the same box, so it looks like there are no different editions among regions.
  16. This film would have been infinitely better if those hillbiliies who can't even speak a complete sentence showed up to help Gondor.
  17. The DC port was awesome, but I don't think there will be a DC version of AEUG vs Titans, unfortunately.
  18. That game was commissioned by Bandai but developed by Presto Studios, the developer responsible for the Journeyman Project CD-ROM game. It was originally intended for its Pippin console but the development took forever, by the time it came out the Pippin was practically dead, so Bandai released it for the PlayStation in Japan instead (there were several Gundam games released on the PS1 prior to this steaming pile). A few years later, when Bandai America launched AnimeVillage to promote Gundam (this was before the Wing craze) on VHS, they gave away copies of this game on CD-ROM for Mac OS/Windows as a way to clear inventory - apparently the game didn't sell that many copies and was piling up in the warehouse.
