  1. Watch Season 1 again, she gets in her birthday suit in the desert.
  2. That issue's been addressed in the series if you actually watched it.
  3. Yeap, Best Buy tends to overcharge on anime DVDs. They figured otakus would pay through the nose for anime crack. Unlike sensible consumers.
  4. Yeap, even with the ugly red bar on top of the box. <_< They are mostly priced at $19.99 though. How much were the original versions priced at? $35?!
  5. Here's an update... Sega's already lost some of their biggest assets - brains - in the aftermath of the Sammy takeover: - Tetsuya Mizuguchi (creator of Sega Rally, Rez and Space Channel 5) - Rikiya Nakagawa (development leader of The House of the Dead and Sega GT) There should be a deathpool on who's the next to leave Sega.
  6. Weta only does the special effects, right? I think ADV is to blame for the name changes, since they're the ones responsible for the film's production.
  7. She got capped in the end of 1st season, not like she has a choice to go back to 24. That kid is Claudia's brother, not son... David Palmer is the dumbest person alive for going back to Sherry for help. Hasn't she screwed over him enough already? Edit in: Looks like Naked Mandy's return in Season 3 is guaranteed now that 2 out of the 3 bad chicks from the previous seasons have appeared already.
  8. The way this business actually works is you specify the parts you want and clip out the parts-order coupon from your assembly manual and mail it in to Bandai with the appropriate fee for the parts you want (usually less than 100 yen each, depending on size). If you have a friend in Japan then I recommend you go this route, as you get exactly the parts you want without buy entire sprues.
  9. Gasaraki Patlabor movies and early OVA (TV series and new OVA are probably too lighthearted for your taste) U.C. Gundam shows (stay away from the dub-only Mobile Suit Gundam TV series)
  10. I don't think so. If you collect cels, then you can tell the difference in the drawings' quality is rather significant. Wing's characters have more detailing work in terms of shading, while V's characters have this decided 2D look (harking back to the 0079 style) due to the simplistic approach taken towards shading. There's a reason that V Gundam cels is fetching even less than other UC shows back in Japan.
  11. So it's basically the version that would have been done had Gainax not ran out of time and money? Are the last couple of episodes fully animated or a bunch of still frames like the original TV episodes?
  12. Please uncensor your avatar! Censorship bad!
  13. I was at Best Buy and saw a bunch of copies of this new Evangelion DVD from ADV called "Neon Genesis Evangelion: Resurrection - the director's cut DVD". Supposedly it features a new version of the last 3 episodes. Anyone who has this DVD can post a review and whether the new/extra stuff is worth the money? Are they just re-cutting the End of Eva movie and replaced the last 3 TV episodes with it, or is it something totally different from the original TV episodes and the EoE movie?
  14. Mods, I object to KingNor's avatar unless the black bar is removed.
  15. My friend tried to order parts from HLJ and they never responded after over a year. I think it's a lost cause regardless of what they say on their site.
  16. from AICN: Milla fully nude? Like she wasn't naked enough in the first movie? I guess the filmmakers do know what sells even if the movie is crap.
  17. Where is the barf emoticon when it is needed....
  18. I've never read the mag but it's from the same publisher as Cinefantastique. Juding by the ads they run for FF in that mag, I think it specializes on actresses who appear in genre films.
  19. If you hated the first one so much, why did you buy its sequel? Like Dubya said: Anyway, it's kind of ironic because I had the same reaction towards Silent Hill 2 when I got it new at $49.99. I was disappointed because it wasn't like the first one at all, and the first half hour virtually nothing happened. However, a few years later I played it through to the ends (there are multiple endings, and most of them are equally valid outcomes to the scenario) and realized it was a rare gem with a lot of depth. The writing was much better and more mature than any other video game I can think of. They don't hand you everything on a silver platter, but all the good stuff are there if you are willing to look for them. You should give it a second chance. The graphics may look a little dated by today's standards, but a good story is timeless, unless you only play games for the adrenaline rush of blowing realistic-looking things away with BFGs. Edit in: Now that the cat's out of the bag, Konami's updated their site and put up 8 new screen shots. Konami's Silent Hill 4 page The team that worked on Silent Hill 2 is back for this installment, so there is hope it won' t be an action-fest like Silent Hill 3.
  20. Found some bigger and clearer scans: page 1 page 2
