  1. If you've seen Zeta Gundam and Dunbine, then you can pass up on Ideon... all 3 shows are about the same (all were directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino), except Ideon is the least refined show in terms of animation and execution.
  2. Why did they pass over ST2 for a PS2 remake? That sucks... I still think ST3 looks and plays better than the PS2 port of ST1.
  3. Considering the pilot is a Western Samurai who wields a six shooter and a katana, that weapon makes sense for her.
  4. Where did you see the prices listed? Will they be packaged identically to the Japanese originals or repackaged in cheapo looking packaging?
  5. That's gotta be the most original Gundam design to come out in the last 5 years or so!
  6. Tons of recent Gundam games we never got in the US: - G-Saviour for PS2 - Lost War Chronicles for PS2 - Giren's Greed: Zeon Revolutionary War for PS2 - SD G Generation Neo for PS2 - AEUG vs Titans for PS2 - SD G Generation Seed for PS2 - Gundam Seed for PS2 - Path of Soldiers for the NGC It's good that Bandai went with Namco as a partner. They did amazing things with the Soul Calibur engine, even if it's just a skin swap the game will still be amazingly fun to play. And I want my mobile suits as fast as they appear in anime, not at the clunky speed like in G-Saviour.
  7. Traditionally it's red since it's typically worn in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Red = propserity / happiness / luck in Chinese culture.
  8. I just found out a law professor of mine was one of the agents involved in selling the script to DreamWorks, and it was originally set in NYC instead of L.A. Should have begged her for a job before I graduated.
  9. I got it, the discs look werid - the inner ring on the underside look "burnt", or oxidized. For those who bought a copy, do your discs look like that too?
  10. YES!!! In this reality show, contestants are issued their lethal weapon of choice and whoever kills Hung and Miltron first will win the big prize!!! WHERE DO I SIGN UP?! I want mah mini gun! If it bleeds, it can be killed!!!
  11. Maybe the cab driver from SF pissed him off, forcing Vincent to kill him. If killing eyewitnesses were a concern, he should have shot everyone in the Korean club who saw him shooting.
  12. So what if Columbia/TriStar colorized the film without the consent of the original filmmakers. THEY MADE THE ORIGINAL B&W VERSION AVAILBLE ON THE SAME FRIGGIN' DISC, FREE OF CHARGE! They gave the audience a CHOICE, unlike Emperor George. As much as I am for the artist's right to do as he pleases with his own creation, Lucas just Pwned himself with that retarded comment.
  13. If that's the case, I don't see why he'd even bother to save Max at the Korean club. It's not like he's the only cab driver in L.A.
  14. You forgot the B-Club MS-06R-1 and MS-06R-2 High Mobility Zaku II conversion kits for MG Zaku II that I've already mentioned. There are tons more examples besides the ones I actually bought. Bandai would rather release a buttload more never-animated Gundams (look at the Sentinel lineup - all Gundams and no Xeku) for the MG line than toss the antagonists a bone. We'll probably see all the obscure game/manga/novel-based Gundams in MG form before seeing a MG Acguy or Gyan. With that said, a MG Hi-Nu is only a matter of time, since they've exhausted plenty of Gundam designs by now. With the Sentinel designs out of the way, Hi-Nu's place on the list has just gone up a few more notches.
  15. B-Club Wing ver. Ka conversion kit... after Bandai pulled the MG MS-06R stunt shortly after the release of their B-Club MS-06R conversion kits, I swore to never buy a B-Club kit agian cos you know Bandai will eventually MG them all. vrave08_img600x450_1024489582wi
  16. Here's one of the B-Club ver. Ka RX-78 (I remember seeing one in 1/100 scale but this puppy is 1/35): otokodachiz_img600x450_10047728
  17. .... right. B-Club Ramba Ral Zaku I B-Club GP03S B-Club Sazabi B-Club GM Kai Ground Version B-Club Guncannon B-Club Ex-S Gundam These are only the ones that have pictures online through a quick Google search. There are tons more designs that were released in both B-Club resin and MG plastic injection formats, including the Zeong, which was only a few months apart like many of the recent releases. On the other end of the spectrum you have the Ver. Ka. RX-78, which has been around forever in B-Club form before Bandai put it out in MG form as well. Here's a B-Club GM Custom to boot:
  18. I blame it on the overmerchandising. Back in the days, every new release was a true event. Nowadays these companies crap out new products on a regular basis, it's not even exciting anymore. It's not easy to not get jaded and just say fark it, I ain't gonna let them milk me dry with subpar and overpriced products.
  19. I don't know if the theater I saw it at screwed up or if the film was shot that way but the film looked extra grainy. I thought they shot this film with High Definition gear, but it looked like it was shot way back in the 1960s during most of the exterior scenes. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised. I knew it'd be a decent movie walking in since it's a Michael Mann film but didn't expect it to be that good. The pacing was much better than Heat and the cast pulled it off beautifully without dragging their ego into the mix. The ending was a bit weak but otherwise it is one of the best films released so far this year (as long as you can ignore some of the plot holes). Thumbs way up.
  20. The PS3 will have backwards compatibility. Earlier this year Sony was hiring programmers for their PS2 emulator.
