  1. Amen brother! Let's all drink to that! I take it this is from the single lonely otaku members? Speak for yourself.
  2. Looks like the Kahen-Senshi 1/144 to me. Kadoh Senshi. Kahen = transformable, which only has the Zeta in its line as of now. Also had the ZZ. The Zeta is better for Wave Rider IMO. MS mode was kind of weak for posability. The ZZ was a much better offering all around. Looks real good, has decent posability, and transforms very easily. My bad, totally forgot about the ZZ since I never bought it. How does it compare to the HCM?

  4. Read this thread Go for it. The 2 disc set is not that expensive, and the extras are truly special, as they aren't some junk left on the cutting floor and being used for DVD-stuffers. We're talking features like interviews with the actual Jolly Rogers squadron that appeared in the movie, etc., not about how they built and then blew up a scale model for a F/X scene.
  5. You're in L.A.... go check it out at Asahiya Bookstore at Torrance Mitsuwa or Kinokuniya Bookstore at Little Tokyo, it's the current issue they just got in last week. Added: Here's an oldie but goodie HJ did on AC4 a while ago: X2 from Shattered Skies
  6. How is he screwing eBay? eBay already made money off him, they don't care either way.
  7. Did you guys see the Jan 05 issue of Hobby Japan? Someone built a Hase F-14A and painted it in Razgriz black, complete with the emblem. Pretty sweet.
  8. Jack's new squeeze doesn't look all that hot...
  9. WTH is this, looks like a Y-wing with the wings chopped off. No Valks on the list, therefore it blows.
  10. 'Accuracy'...........Stormies, yeah right Graham Didn't Obiwan comment on the accuracy of the shots on the decimated Jawa transport and said Tusken Raiders couldn't have made such accurate shots in Ep 4?
  11. That's a big can o' worms... The original Mobile Suit Gundam TV series spawned off the entire franchise, including sequels, spin-offs, movies, OVAs, etc. Basically, you have the "classic Gundam" that takes place within the Universal Century calendar. Many of them are made with original director Tomino, although lately most UC shows are OVAs/one-off CG productions/video games done without his participation that just try to stuff more useless junk into the One Year War period for the sake of whoring more merchandise out of this cow that has been milked dry, and then some. All UC Gundam shows are somewhat related, since they take place in the same universe and are only a few years or decades apart. On the other hand, you have the "alternate universe Gundam" that includes the likes of G, Wing, X, Seed, and its spawn Seed Destiny. These are mostly made for kids and are often pale imitations of the original, although I am sure a lot of kids will disagree vehemently about this statement. These shows are stand-alone series that do not make reference to other Gundam shows (except for Seed Destiny, which is a direct sequel of Seed) so prior knowledge of other Gundam shows are not required. Gundam 0083 is a good OVA series to get into Gundam with. So is the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy, which is basically the original TV series condensed.
  12. These came out several years ago, I believe Asuka and Rei from Eva were also released as part of that line, although the sculpting, as you can see on the Sayla figure, isn't that hot.
  13. Photo from the EA/NBA meeting has just been released...
  14. Has anyone read about Peter Jackson's explaination why he trimmed the scene where Pippin sneaks up to light up the beacon in the Extended Edition?
  15. * Looks at the oversized Angela figure * Cool! I'm keeping HER!
