I saw it at Costco, they had a sale for it that takes 4 bucks off the sticker price at the register, but I put it back on the rack when I saw how awful the printing quality on the cover was - even the HK bootleg DVDs put more effort into the quality of the cover slip. For an ultimate edition, the kind of low resolution, inkjet print-out quality just doesn't seem to jive.

Capcom added new stuff to the original DC release of RE: CV, calling it CV Complete for DC and just RE: DC for PS2. I never bothered to replay the game after having completed the original on the DC, even though I've had the PS2 "complete" version for a while. Maybe I'll wait for the new edition of RE4 to come out on PS2 instead of burning myself out too quick with an "incomplete" GC version.

Older PS2 and older gameshark allowed DVD region free. Are you talking about the ones with the oldest version of the driver saved on the memory card?

Boot disc does not work with all imports. It is definitely a no-go with games on dual-layer DVDs. The MGS games are on dual-layer, so is Xenosaga I believe. I am not aware of any mod chips that allow your PS2 to watch DVD movies from other regions.

New RE games aren't NGC-exclusive and are headed to the PS2 this year I played the demo of RE4 last week. The monsters are no longer mindlessly walking towards you and will avoid your gun's laser sight by ducking or moving side ways. Quite tricky. Added: Capcom's press release

Hahaha, your brother came upon an easter egg most people wouldn't find. Snake gets some choice words from Major Zero and Paramedic for being such a wuss (unable to take out The End after a week).

I had trouble with The End initially but found out it's so much more fun and satisfying to sneak behind him and hold him up. Once you locate his whereabouts using the directional microphone, go around and approach him from behind as he starts snoring (crouching slowly, of course), then get up and point your gun at his back. Do this a few times and he'll surrender his moss camo, which gives you photosynthesis ability.
