  1. Wow, looks like Famitsu was actually generous with their score for Red Ninja.
  2. I bet these video game tie-ins will not be reissued and become incredibly hard to find in the future just like the MSV kits that were released in Zeta Gundam boxes. I'll pick up a bunch of them just on principle - not Gundams = I buy.
  3. Of course it is funny. Even the seller acknowledged it's a comedy (see sub-genre). Everyone ought to ask sellers questions like: "Hey! It's a bootleg of a bootleg! Does the double negative cancel it out and make this a legit release???"
  4. Go out like a man I wonder what Mike's choice would be. For that matter, which one(s) gets Agent ONE's approval.
  5. The Genesis and Saturn pads felt too light and cheaply made for me. Wasn't a fan of having to buy add-ons for the DC controller but they sure were worth the money - the Puru Puru pack shakes like it's no one's business, and the VMUs give you nice portable games. The DC controller was my favorite from Sega, although its triggers wore out easily and the thumbstick needs major improvement. Make it something close to the DS2's analog stick and it'd be perfect.
  6. Tenchu Kurenai was an orphan as far as its non-Japan release was concerned - Activision took a pass on its NA and EU releases when the game was announced. I am glad Sega didn't do the "let's jack up the difficulty level so renters can't beat it so fast" changes. As far as they're concerned, it's a straight publishing deal. Localized and bam, it's done. They don't own it, so maybe they weren't even allowed to change it in the first place. As for Famitsu, they know what they are doing. All the game guides published by their editorial staff have been top-notch, complete, and always blows away the competition. I have yet to find a Famitsu guide that is not better compared to the ones for the same game from Softbank or Kadokawa.
  7. Wow, I'm playing the same games too. Thinking about picking up DMC3, although I had yet to finish the first one... Most Tenchu fans seem to enjoy Kurenai/Fatal Shadows. It might not have lived up to some fans' expectations, but it was definitely a worth addition to the series. Kudos to Sega for bringing it over here. Added: Famitsu scores are usually very fair. They don't become the #1 publication in Japan for being kiss-asses. As for camera issues, in some games they matter more than others - stealth action being one of them. Maybe its camera problems were worse than in the new Tenchu game, which is almost a year old in Japan, so Famitsu didn't cut them any slacks.
  8. I stopped by the local kit store and saw they had new stocks of a buttload of Gunplas (barf) and the new Hase kits from M0. Are the LEs like the VF-0B worth getting? Hase LEs seem to be either extremely sought after or extremely unwanted (clear VF-1s ). The box art for the 0B looks fugly... but I did snag the black 51. That puppy's beautiful!
  9. Well, Red Ninja already came out in Japan and it didn't fare too well in Famitsu's reviews: Red Ninja Famitsu score 7/7/6/7 Famitsu PS2 score 7/6/7 Compalints included the lack of variety and problems adjusting the camera angle. Tenchu Kurenai/Fatal Shadows scored higher by comparison: Famitsu score 9/7/8/7 Famitsu PS2 score 8/8/8
  10. Well, thanks to AC4 I nearly wore out my original DualShock 2 controller that came with my launch PS2. I went out and bought a translucent blue DS2 controller and have been pretty happy with it and never had any performance issues with it. Now the black DS2 that came with the new JP slim PS2 does feel somewhat cheap...
  11. Well Graham, I am sure they'll let you do that once you sign up with the U.S. Army.
  12. Man, you're harsh. She sounded a bit rough in the first clip but the new rendition is very poignant. I like it much better than the originally recorded version (never really liked the song that much) or the re-recorded/tribute version.
  13. Can you tell the difference by where they were made or model number?
  14. I am not as qualified as someone like Keith to answer this, but I believe it was one of Hideo "Metal Gear Solid" Kojima's early games.
  15. Jim Carrey must be pissed that Jamie Foxx's got an Oscar so early in his film career.
  16. That quote was from Murphy at this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13367 You should get a high score by choosing the last option most of the time. I got a higher score using heavy duty gear instead of something in between, although realisticly, that will slow your movement down to the speed of zombies and making you less likely to run away from a horde. For food I went with canned food and bottled water so there's no need to worry about keeping food frozen or finding water to use the tablets with.
  17. LOL, I retook it and got a higher score:
  18. Zombie Survival Test This is what I got:
  19. There are other cells, wonder what they're cooking up for the rest of the season...
