  1. Just wondering, where did these numbers come from, and what were the years these figures account for?
  2. Did I miss something? I thought thet Revolution is not backwards compatible with the GC.
  3. Bandai used to not bag at least 1 frame of parts for their kits before the late 1980s. I think all the complaints about stolen parts and surface damage suffered during shipping made them bag all the frames since the late 80s. If they really wanna be treehuggers, they should close their hobby division altogether or switch to diecast only.
  4. Considering that Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, Front Mission 3, and Kingdom Hearts all fit neatly onto single-layer DVDs, I'm sure they're fine with what they have. Actually, from what I understand, they're upset with Sony for not including a standard hard drive on the PS3. FF XI shipped with a HDD and we don't know if contents were timmed from FM4 and KH2, like many current games, to fit a single layer DVD.
  5. That might have been true couple years ago during launch, but a vast majority of new PS2 releases ship on DVD now. Square/Enix obviously must be thanking Sony for the bumped-up storage blu-ray offers. They're the king of bloatware/FMVs.
  6. I can't help but feel you guys are making Ken out to be this evil corporate mouthpiece just to piss MGREXX off. Ken's the president of SCE, what did you expect him to say? "Oh sorry guys, we f'ed up with the PS3 architecture, the Xbox 360 is superior and we're only staying in the game thanks to the huge installed base"? As for his opinion of the Xbox 360, he sounded pretty diplomatic when asked to point out the difference of its design approach compared to the PS3. He could have easily said nastier things, but he didn't. He's obviously not too worried about losing market share to the Xbox 360. All in all, who cares. I'll decide when some must-have games come out after these systems launch and have a price drop. All the kickass specs don't mean jack if developers can't make awesome games for the system. PS2 specs looked awesome prior to release, but look what it got upon launch.
  7. Good thing you asked here first. I'd never buy something solely based on HLJ's hyperboles.
  8. The ability to sell your older consoles for some store credit towards the spanking new generation console, and the room/clutter you'd be freeing up by getting rid of the older consoles.
  9. Interesting, do you have a link to the quote? The public reason Jobs gave for shifting to Intel was because Apple saw that Intel's future roadmap is more promising than that of the PowerPC, whose projected growth in performance doesn't even come close to Intel's projections. Since Apple was making a long term decision, I guess they didn't want to gamble on something that does not have a solid history to back up any kind of future projections.
  10. Thus begun the debate for the necessity of dicks in a world full of pussies and a-holes.
  11. Doesn't seem to explain why Apple chose to put ATI cards in their pricier models of the G4 PowerBooks while the low-end 12" one got stuck with a Nvidia card.
  12. Jyah! Watch mah huliday klassik, "Gingow All Dah Way"!
  13. Thus begun A1's obsession with crab-free doorknobs.
  14. Apple had a fallout with IBM because IBM was slow in delivering the PowerPC chips to Apple, most likely costing them signficant business as a result. Uniqueness isn't worth much if the company has a problem delivering it.
  15. Shipping and handling He's making back all the eBay and PayPal fees via handling, I bet. The figure was only available as part of the 1st pressing copies of the Eva manga that he's not including. This could mean either the figure was a boot or he's keeping the manga (doubtful - the manga is only worth a buck or two, why strip it and kill the set's value).
  16. If you're into classic Tomino Gundam, I'd recommend V Gundam and Turn-A Gundam.
  17. Wasn't Mutant X a blatant ripoff of X-Men? I don't think it got pulled from the air due to copyright issues.
  18. Steve Jobs previews Mac with an Intel brain at WWDC 2005 I guess it's only a matter of time before haxxors make cheap Intel systems that can run Mac OS X.
  19. Have they EVER bothered to do that with any of their originally non-chrome kits? Dunno, I stopping buying a few years ago as you know. However, given their propensity to release color-coated and crystal variants, you'd think they'd make such molding standard practice once they've developed the molding design to avoid these eyesores.
