I sold most of my duplicate PGs and was only down to 1 Char's Zaku II. Thought I'd get a US version but it turned out to be the Japanese version, no wonder they didn't even want to put the box image online.

If the figure's any good, usually a boxed version will come out.

MS is the first one to the market so they know they can charge as much as they want until Sony drops their PS3 on everyone. Anyone interested in getting the 360 should wait for the first price drop, which should be sometime between the PS3 release and the 1st Xmas after PS3 is on the market.

Mine came yesterday. Kit box was shrinkwrapped but they didn't do a good job padding it inside the shipping box, so both the shipping box and the kit box were crunched on the side. Won't start working on it for a while. Between work, Sakura Wars 5 and WoW there isn't such a thing as 'free time'.

Wasn't the first time and won't be the last time they found someone dead at an Internet Cafe because of game addiction. I remember reading 2 similar cases in HK and Taiwan a few years ago. Usually the deceased already had pre-existing condition though, the game wasn't 100% responsible for the death.

If you pay $40 and get both, yeah, that's a deal, although not as good as the blowout sales my friend saw in Japan last year - ¥1000 for a ¥4000 MG kit... at the local grocery store!

That was an incomplete quote. The whole sentence was "I also look at this as a way to get my foot into anime, which I like". I don't recall him saying that. He only said that shooting and producing digitally will cut cost down dramatically and that the live action SW TV series will be experimental in that sense like Young Indiana Jones was. I am amazed that AP "report" did not even mention The Presidio, which was mentioned several times in the course of the Q&A.

Re: Kapools between ZZ and Turn-A, the difference is in size. The ones in Turn-A are visibly smaller than the ones from ZZ. The fact that they can ride on the Gallop in Turn-A proves they are junior in size to the ones seen in ZZ. I ordered the PG Char's Zaku and was unable to modify the order - the site claims this was sold through a 3rd party instead of TRU.com and when I tried to contact the seller via the Seller Profile link, there was no seller info other than a generic Amazon help page. Something is very, VERY wrong here...

Autographs

Last but not least, the butt shot.

Lots of autographs of the cast (including Kenny Baker) on the other side of the fuselage, but not on this side for some reason.

They parked this puppy at the lobby of the LA Convention Center (South Hall). No pass is required to get an up close and personal look.

I guess it's a fringe benefit having George Lucas as the conference keynote speaker and his ILM actively recruiting / interviewing digital artists there this week...
