Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002
Falcon replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
NY buys from brick and mortar stores probably at the market rate and then mark it up in order to make a profit. Don't see how that's a problem as it allows international buyers like us an opportunity to get something that is rather hard to get even for locals. If you find the price too dear, don't buy from them. Generally speaking their first time and even their second time batches don't go up ridiculously high but you get crazy prices by the end- you seen some of the prices of their later Metal Builds!? Don't think they're sketchy but I do think they're a bit too ambitious with some of their prices. Funnily enough, when I was in Tokyo I saw sellers that were doing this in Akihabara with higher prices than NY for things that are readily available for a third of the cost in brick and mortar stores! :0- 6026 replies

If they're rebooting the franchise in such a way that T3 never existed then that's a good thing. Dunno how they're going to pull it off in the same way T1 and T2.

Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015
Falcon replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It sounds like your view of time travel is rather linear. My interpretation is it's a more like Looper where you can have multiple loops of timelines that interact with one another but I digress. I still disagree with the T3 idea but to each their own. Though T2 not the most closest to the source material of T1, it still was far more meaningful and fun than the others that came after it.- 508 replies

Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015
Falcon replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
T3 strays so far away from the elements that made T1 and T2 great. I feel it's without doubt the worst of all the sequels. Despite how bad the others are, I feel the others had to work with T3 in mind as part of their universe that makes it horrible. I really wanted a Terminator movie where we find how John does it without any time loops.- 508 replies

If he's doing MacGyver when will he have the time to do Robotech the live action movie?

Please... emphasise the legend by making him sound like a jerk and with so many inaccuracies? White guilt? Or the harsh reality of an industry that has gone worse thoughout the years? http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/movies/hollywood-diversity-report-reveals-damning-entrenched-inequality-20160907-grbb5f.html Bruce Lee is a big enough name without the need for such cheap ideas especially with such poor writing- Bruce Lee sounds like a prick and half of what we see in this trailer never happened the way it's being shown. There is no real need for the "protagonist" to be there other than to connect non-existent strings despite it being "based on a true story".

Lol another movie where despite a famous name like Bruce Lee Hollywood still needs a white protagonist in there. They can't get Bruce Lee right and of course, the details about the movie and truth are hardly in line with one another. Stay classy when it comes to genres of culture Hollywood

Independence Day: Resurgence, in theaters June 24, 2016
Falcon replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
For a cheesy movie, $383 million isn't too bad. If they got rid of their comic relief characters it wouldn't have been half bad. Don't know what's with the overreaction about Chinese brand placement- it's not as if America and other multinational brands are bandied around in movies, Bit hypocritical if you ask me.- 277 replies
