  1. Here you go Edit: Damn, Panzer beat me to it... Edit again: BTW, I have a Low Viz in mint condition that I'm willing to sell for a paltry $699.95, with a takatoys sticker sheet, plus S&H...any takers???
  2. Cool....maybe, but that's like advertising your geekdom for everyone to see...
  3. How is this for absurd?.... Low Vis eBay auction Who is this guy trying to kid?
  4. Now that's just plain mean...
  5. Heh. Yes, racist, sexist and homophobic views, so deeply entrenched in today's frightened hate-filled society that they pop up in everyday conversation without any thought is just pointless semantics. Gypped out of any deals lately? "Gypped" was a term propigated by the fun-loving Nazi party, in reference to Gypsies, who nobody (except other Gypsies it seems) liked. Nobody cares about them now (moslty because they were all killed) and use the term "Gypped"widely without any thought whatsoever. The term used to be "Jewed" until people starting thinking that was wrong. Why not bring back "Jewed" and "Niggered" and "Chinked"? Semantics. As for the Scopedog, won't it have to have a tonne of modifications if it is to be any other version? I thought the Brutish Dog, my fave (cuz it's pink ) had different feet. Ideas? Methinks someone doest protest too much. As for the scopedog...it looks awesome for an old school design, but it's too rich for my blood.

    Mac 2 monster

As has been said already, the "Mac 2" in question is the original land based dreadnaught from the SDF Macross, and not from Macross II. Be that as it may, there was a very short appearance of a new Mac 2 in "Lovers again"...see picture:
  7. It's the sport of choice at Macrossworld.
  8. Why didn't you just send off the hand for replacement; that's what I did when I broke the right leading edge winglet that folds around the cockpit on the first time I tried to transform the Rook Alpha (entirely my fault since I was tired, impatient, and exerted too much force to release it from its position in fighter mode). I attempted to repair it by pinning the broken pieces together with a couple of 1/4 inch sections of paper clip wire and some plastic cement; however, even though the repair was successful and the break seam almost undetectable, the plastic weld I used had no effect on the part's material and I did not wish to use CA glue because of its hazing effects. So, I sent Toynami an email explaining what happened and that I didn't want to return the whole toy, just the broken piece, as I had an otherwise near perfect example on hand. Toynami's response was immediate and very accommodating to my request. In short, my advice to anyone who bought an Alpha with a single defect or broken piece, but that is otherwise more than acceptable, just send back the troublesome item, if at all possible, and save yourself the extra shipping (I paid about $1.40 by USPS first class mail with delivery confirmation from CT to CA). Hope this will be useful to others in the future. Cheers
  9. I'm sorry...but give me a f*cking break. Comparing an engineering and artistic masterpiece like Michaelangelo's David to this is stupid. On top of that, saying that we find this disturbing and therefore would find the David disturbing is asinine in the extreme. Couldn't have said it better myself. Some people just have to stick psycho-babble-ish arguments and comparisons just to make themselves feel intellectually superior.
  10. Man, that's one "well hung", bad-ass Tread/Beta! Where did you find that thing?
  11. It's like a train wreck or a multi car pile-up...you can't help but look
  12. That's just wrong...it looks like gay Gundam soft porn...disturbing.
  13. Leader one was basically a re-box of the red legioss that was molded in a very fugly shade of aqua. It even included the Jupiter Base decals and all the same metal, rubber, and nylon bits. At the time when they were released I remember seeing them in store, but I never associated the box image with the then Robotech New Generation Alpha fighter (it was 1985-6 so I didn't know about the true origins of the shows butchered to create Robotech)...all I could see was the name Go-Bots on the box, and I hated Go-Bots.
  14. That's one strange old coot... Here is something I read once in a public toilet: Here I sit, Lonely hearted, Tried to s**t, But only farted. Ah men.
  15. That looks awesome. I just saw the F-18 at my local TRU store and that sucker is big; so big, in fact, that I could not justify buying it, even at $75.00 + tax, for lack of space to display or store the thing...but it is an impressive "toy". Judging by the picture or the F-16, however, this one might be a bit harder to pass up if I happen to run across it...the Falcon is just such a cool looking bird. Edit: That definitely looks like a F-16C.
  16. Or you could just not read the thread if it bothers you. Go HERE instead. All you ever wanted to know about poop but were to afraid, or had the decency not, to ask.
  17. Now that is a damn good idea. aaahhhhahaha. That's why I buy most of my stuff brand new! Yeah but everything you traded is used... hahaha... that's not weathering on the red Alpha... Other phrases for dropping a deuce: pinching a loaf fire off a missile let the dogs out taking the Browns to the Superbowl How about: "dropping the kids off at the pool"? If I ever dropped one of MY Yamato's in the bowl, it would be the end. BTW: Godzilla. congrats on your new total. Doesnt "dropping the kids off at the pool" imply something else??? All so wrong... so very very wrong... Nup. Me and the boys have always used it. I would liek to know if there's another meaning Here's one from South Park that I think fits the bill: "giving birth to a brown baby boy. Damn...Now you sick fecalpheliacs have me doing it!.....
  18. The 1/200 and 1/160 scale kits also make very decent ornaments. Of course, unlike the gashapons, you have to assemble and paint them first.
  19. Testor's Intermidiate blue should be a very close match to the blue gray used in the toy. As for the "smudged" camo areas, it looks like dark ghost grey to me.
  20. YES! YES! ME TOO! I'd love to oblige, but I don't have a working Digicam at the moment. Rest assured that as soon as I can get my hands on one (gotta make it known that that is what I want for an X-mas gift) I'll take plenty of pictures of not only my new red Alpha, but also everything else in my collection to post at MW.
  21. Well, I just got my Red Alpha masterpiece (#01437) yesterday. I've transformed it to battroid and gardian modes, but have not yet switched it back to fighter, so I don't know if the hogging problem on my Red Legioss is better or worse than my Blue one, which wasn't bad once I pushed and pulled it a bit...right out of the box the arched back is just a mess, but it can be remedied. My first impression of Vol 2 is that the QC on my example is better than what I got on Vol 1. Now for some itemized observations: 1. Everything is much tighter on Vol 2...scaringly so. 2. Like others, the head is floppy, and in my case, a bit tilted to the right too. 3. Arms, left and right, aren't floppy at all and hold poses just fine. 4. No paint or glue smudges anywhere I could see. 5. Left thy red box has a 1/8" square paint ship that shows the white paint below. I'll have to do some touch-up. 6. Sensor pallet door is still a floppy mess when open, but it did not fall appart. The red color isn't even close to the tone used on the rest of the toy. 7. The legs and feet work fine just as on my Scott version. Overeall, I don't see any improvements to the basic construction or design of any of the components on Vol 2. Unlike Yamato, which made tooling improvements during their products' run based on customer feedback or just a sense that they could do better, Toynami made no changes, and don't expect any in future releases. However, I did notice a modest improvement on their QC. Unfortunately, my impression of this improvement is totaly subjective, since it's based on just my two Alphas. I feel like I almost got my money's worth on the Volume 2 (under $68.00 delivered...still a bit overpriced, but not excessive) and, since I haven't been burned yet, I'm looking forward to the Green Alpha.
  22. It is also obvious that the SW-XA II has some influence into the SV-51's design...forward swept canards.
  23. Holy humongous pictures Batman!...
  24. Never mind a PS2 redux...when is the PS3 coming out?
  25. Weren't there other kits from Arii? Namely the 1/72 Defender, Spartan, and Zentradi Regult?
