what's your favorite anime death sequences
Dragon Lord replied to zeus the zentran's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, forgot about that one. Joe P. -
I definitely second that! I mean the Godaikin Voltes V was very good, but I'd love to see an SOC Voltes V. But to get back on topic, that custom looks great cube, and I can't wait to see it finished. Joe P.

That was so long ago, I don't remember that scene Yes that was a while back, in fact, this was the very first anime series I ever saw, and the one that has stuck (in the head) the most! The death was at the very end of the very last episode. Joe P. -
I'm definitely interested in both (12 disc sdf macross dvds and 3 disc M+ dvds), and provided that the prices are reasonable I'll definitely be getting them. And a definite yes to a MW exclusive numbered cases. Joe P.
-
I think if I remember correctly, what she said in french is translated in a latter volume. Just can't remember which one. Joe P.

I hear ya. I'm still looking for the same thing. It's damn near impossible to find, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. Joe P.

Double Yup... though I would have liked for Ming-Na would have recreated the shower scene. It did have one of the best animation at the time though... Most definitely yes. It's like comparing a hyundai and a porche. Joe P.

Oh, and I don't know how many of you are familiar with Voltes V, but this is one of my all time favourite, the death of Heinel at the end. Joe P. -

I've forgotten about Berserk. The whole gang getting slaughtered like that has got to be most memorable for me. And definitely Tomoe's in the Kenshin OVA. Guld's death in the movie version was far better (and more appropriate) than the OVA. Joe P. -
Yes definitely get the super VF-1J. It's awesome. I really like the bigger hands too. Also, when you have more to spend, get a Hikaru 1S and a Max 1A. That way you can swap heads if you like the Max 1S more. And if you have more still to spend, hunt down a low viz, those things are awesome! Joe P.

That is some funny crap!

The Kyoto arc in the TV series was definitely awesome, but the OVA is just, we'll words won't do it justice. You have to see it for yourself. Anubis, from which volume does the revenge arc start in the manga? Joe P.

Would be nice, but I won't lose sleep over this. I agree with what JsARCLIGHT has mentioned basically. I mean, I will buy toys regardless, if I like the way it looks, and if I think I can have a fair amount of time playing with it. Heck, I haven't really found the need to check out their website anyway. You can get all the info you need right here. So, that's a NO from me. Joe P.

I haven't placed an order with them before, was about to, and was considering my shipping options. In their guide, they've listed SAL delivery to be between 60-90 days. 2-4 weeks sounds about right though. Thx. Joe P.
-
Jolly Rogers, have you ever used the SAL shipping option from Hobby Search? If so, is it the same as HLJ's? I was just wondering because I use SAL with HLJ, and it has always taken at most 2 weeks to reach me, but Hobby Search reckon it'll take from 60-90 days! Joe P.

Yes, those customs are becoming more precious by the day! I've got Team Alpha's first attempt at the marriage set btw. Joe P.
-
I can't really decide so I'll just list my favourites: Popy Voltes V DX Godaikin Tetsujin 28 Takatoku Goshogun DX Marmit Daigokin Mazinger Z (original colour) Master Piece Convoy 1/48 Low Viz VF-1A Joe P.
-
Berserk is definitely awesome, though I think the manga is better. And I liked 'now and then, here and there' also. Joe P.
-
Doesn't look like an anatomically correct figure. But hey, it's the first enemy mecha, so I'm getting one. Joe P.
-
My first valk was Jung's Super VF-1D custom followed by a Bandai strike soon after. The last valk I bought was the 1/48 Low Viz. Joe P.
-
The 1S is made for the strike armour IMO, esp Hikaru's. Joe P.

Toybox DX Toy Of The Year 2003...
Dragon Lord replied to drifand's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I voted for 'ol Danny Boy because at that time I hadn't received my MPC convoy, but I sure am glad it won. It is easily the best toy I have bought in a long time! A well deserved victory. Joe P. -
Yang style Tai Chi Chuan, had to give it up recently after two years due to work commitments. I'm really hoping I can pick it up again soon. Joe P.

In anticipation of KILL BILL Volume 1 & 2.
Dragon Lord replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
You're right! I thought he looked familiar! I love this movie, QT is a genius. My wife's reaction was pretty much the same as WMCheng's wife's though. Guess I'm going to see part 2 by myself. Joe P. -
