Just saw the trailer, and that definitely did not remind me of the Asimov book of the same title. I guess, part of the problem is that the majority of the people who have not read the book, will see this movie and think, that is all the book is about, which will be totally unfair. I don't know. Can't really say it's going to be a bad movie without watching it first, even though my gut feeling is that I won't enjoy it too much knowing what to expect, content wise from the book. Joe P.

I've always liked Megatron best as a gun, and if they do make a Master Piece Meg, then it should be the gun. IMO the gun best reflects his personality. If they did soundwave, then a cassette/mp3 player combo would be great! Joe P.

The chunky monkey will always hold a special place in my heart! There is just a coolness about them that doesn't exist in any other Macross toys, even the 1/48s. I haven't given up hope in Bandai reissuing the VE-1 and VT-1. Joe P.

w/c one....i just need the lineart of the vehicles...does that book has it...maybe you can just scan it for me thanks in advance I don't think the Roman book has the lineart you are looking for, because the picture you attached earlier is not in the book. But it does have some drawings of each plane and the combined robot showing some of its mechanism. Sorry, I can't provide any scans since I am without a scanner at the moment. It also has some screenshots, storyboard pictures, earlier design sketches of each characters, among many other things. The De-classified book has more information I think, and that picture you attached may have come from that book. But it is also more expensive. But this is relative of course. Joe P.

I must say that I am surprised that more people like M2 now than before. I always thought it was OK. Certainly looked good animation wise. Glad to see I'm not the only one who like the Marduk mechas. I am however, not surprised that the old arguments regarding M7 has been raised yet again... Seem to always find its way into these threads from time to time. Joe P.
