Damn it! That is a chimp, not a monkey! One of my pet peeves, like someone calling a whale a fish. Apes are not monkeys...sheesh. It is funny though.

I know it's an arcade game, but what are the physics like in this series. I have only played PC sims until I picked up Secret Weapons over Normandy, and I gotta say I was disappointed. I felt like I was flying in space, it didn't feel like flying at all. I am not expecting MS flight simulator, but how about something that at least feels as real as Aces of the Pacific/Europe, or Red Baron 2? If this game has that, and somewhat realistic weapon's loads I might be interested.

Uhh, he IS Moscato...

If they made a choro-q of my car I'd pick one up, but the only '70-'73 firebird/trans-am they made was black...and is out of production. boo-hoo. For one of the best looking musclecars (and one of the last*) it doesn't get the love it deserves. * - I mean "real" musclecars, not modern stuff. I would say the '74 trans am SD was the last of the real musclecars with Mopars, Ford, and the rest of GM bowing out in '71-'72.

You posted this ages ago, why again? But since you asked I'll say the same thing I did then: The robot form is quite cool looking, the "vehicle" (if you can call it that) is pants. It looks like nothing. Why have him transform if it's into a horizontal form of his robot self? I guess some new transformers have similar problems though. And I like the lego version more than the sketch. The sketch looks, well cheezy. Sorry if that sounds harsh, I just call 'em like I see 'em.

I'm sure George Sohn is quite happy charging $80.00 for these, and I'm sure it will prove to be a good business decision. I wish they were less, and compared to similar products, they probably aren't "worth" 80, but the market will reflect demand, and I imagine these will move quickly. I could be wrong, but I don't think so...and more importantly I'm sure Mr. Sohn agrees.

I actually DLed the entire Zeta Gundam series on Kazaa about a year ago. The last 3-4 eps. weren't subbed, but the rest were. Probably harder to find now, but they were all there before.

I mean look at all the extra debris and stuff, that's the detail I'm talking about. Makes it look more real, less cartoony.
-
whoa, where did all the detail go? I forgot the original looked so good. Surely you can incorperate more of the original's depth and detail...
-
I've bought a few of their Imperial Armour conversion kits. Quality was so-so. Plenty of detail but some minor bubbles/warping. I hear that their more recent releases are of higher quality than the earlier ones. Of course, I am mostly a platic model builder, so maybe my "complaints" concerning ForgeWorld were based on unrealistic expectations. If I had the cash I would love to get some of their big stuff, like that Titan or the Superheavy tanks.

Well, the second katakana looks to be a small "tsu," which would indicate a stop/pause, not an actual "tsu" sound. The last katakana should probably be transliterated as "zu" rather than "su." So I would see the katakana translation as: Go-to Maazu (assuming there are no dots to make the third symbol a "do" rather than "to." with all the "o"s being pronounced like "oh" or course. I don't know if there any convention used in transliterating foreign words, but I believe I have seen s-endings done with both "su" and "zu." I'd go with God Mars

One thing (and I admit I know nothing about CG or rendering): The upper half is amazing, seriously. It could easily be mistaken for a model. But the feet...they scream CG, and not even great CG like the rest. Maybe it is the texture, or the overly bright red (compared to the "canopy"), or the shading. I don't know...the rest is quite impressive however.

Who would you want to date on valentine's day ?
Phyrox replied to vanpang's topic in Movies and TV Series
This is some sad stuff here. Good fun or not... -
...Or your could go to Valkyrie-Exchange (linked on main page's "where to buy") and get a much cheaper region-free HK bootleg. As there is no region 1 DVD release, I don't feel any guilt buying a bootleg. Get it, its quite good.
-
Maybe, just maybe this is because no one bought them. The whole "Southern Cross being unpopular" thing isn't a conspiracy, it's true. Not to ruffle anyone's feathers or anything. Oh, and on a more constructive note: I don't have any idea where else to find good websites dealing with this series (not that I've ever looked).

It seems to me that a lot of the complaints about this Voltron are not relevant to the extremely early stage of prototype we are seeing. It looks to me that the individual lions they are showing don't even combine (look at "black's" head...I don't think the human-Voltron head is hidden in there). It seems like this is just a mock-up to get fans excited about the future release, which should look roughly like this, but not exactly. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. Proportions may be the same, but it doesn't seem like you can comment on details, chrome, posability, etc at this point. edit- I should mention that I'm not a Toynami or Voltron fanboy. I have a Toynami VF-1 for the sole purpose of being scaled to the upcomming Legioss/Alpha, and haven't liked Voltron since I was in 2-3rd grade.

Yah, we've known since a day or so after those pictures surfaced that the final canopy will indeed be clear. (posted on RT.com, and on this board)

Harmony Gold & Toynami releasing DYRL? Toys
Phyrox replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don't read the above pinned topic, but my gut answer to your assumption/question is no. I'm guessing they did their legal homework, and nothing at least as glaringly obvious as your loophole would have gotten past 'em. Not to say I understand this whole thing, or that I deem it legal in the international marketing rights areana...I leave that to others (not necessarily on this board). edit - Damn, didn't type fast enough. This is in response to Effect's post. -
Harmony Gold & Toynami releasing DYRL? Toys

I don't see what the travesty is. The Japanese companies couldn't market their products in the U.S. before. Still Can't. Harmoney Gold can't market its products (Macross Saga) in Japan before. Still Can't. I can still get any Japanese product I want via mail order, DYRL or not. The only change I see is that there are a few more options on the market. Unless anyone seriously thought there was going to come a time when Japanese and American companies competed in the same market for Macross products...and no one here seriously thought that, did they? I can see that this would put a damper on any such vain hopes. -
Wow, you're so smart! pats on head

Good Luck. edit: for pessimism
