The text with the images says something about 1/400, which makes sense, as that was the best proportioned Dendrobium so far, and the only scale for the Nue Ziel, right? I would expect this to just be a repackaging of those kits.

The mount thing doesn't bother me as I still use my level 40 mount. It just never seemed worth it to grind or beg, or actually pay real money for an epic. The extra speed is nice, but I can count on both hands the times I've thought "my kingdom for a faster mount!" (I will save up for a flying mount though) The new races don't excite me either. Dranae or whatever sounded cool, but look like fatties. And the new elves are lamo (like all the other elves). personally I'm gambling for some long-overdue goblin rep rewards and some new schematics.

From the previews, even the biplane porn looks to phoney to enjoy.

I never thought I'd hear of a movie about Thermopylae and not even give it a chance... But that looks terrible. Like "everything that is wrong with Hollywood historical movies" terrible. And the special effects (why would you even NEED any for this movie?) are distracting they are so bad (although...maybe they are still rough). I'll add this to "flyboys" in the "history/action" movies to avoid at all costs.

Well, I may be in the minority, but my excitement level is at about a 1/10 for this. All these mid-engine cars look alike, and look like they were drawn in a highschooler's notebook. I know those lines work great for some people, but they bore me. If performance isn't mated to a beautiful (or interesting) exterior, it just doesn't register with me. Strange, exotics used to be the most imaginative and beautiful cars on the market...now they seem to be among the most tired.

Ah..I didn't know pets sucked so bad. They seem supa cool. The aggro and feeding issues would certainly be enough reason to not have them out all the time. One huge advantage hunters have is in CCing. If I lose against an epicced-out hunter (I only have three fairly mild epics), he can camp me for ever and ever with that "find humanoid" ability. No rezzing behind a tree and mounting up while he looks for you...he has you dead to rights from the get go. But I don't mind hunters too much...and they seem to be by and large cool players in my experiance. Alliance mages and rogues (well all rogues) are the bastards. I have never seen an Alliance mage that didn't attack me as soon as the advantage was his (which is pretty often). And ALL rogues, level 1-60 are kill on sight in my book. edit: funny about Feign Death...why do hunters use that in PvP? Do they think I'm stupid or something? I have never seen it fool anyone, and I don't think it even makes you lose your target anymore...
-
OK, here's a question for you hunters then: Why do I see so many of you out and about without your pets out? As a warrior I used to be afraid of hunters because they could kite me forever with a good pet and traps...but recently I've come across a good number of lone hunters. Not like I'm complaining though, easy HK...but why would you ever NOT have your pet out? Hell, I always have my non-combat pet out, and he doesn't do anything.

I've got a 60 Warrior, but when I play now I mostly just mess around, gank lowbies, run my lowbie buddies through dungeons and stuff like that. I'm in a great end-game guild with a few of my real life buddies, but because of east-coast west-coast timing issues and time committment issues on my part I don't do a lot of end-game raiding. I have a few epics but won't be getting any more until the expansion I imagine. The game was GREAT up until level 50 or so. Then it dragged until 60...where it picked up for a while, and has since plateaued. At least for me. It's the only MMORPG I play, so I can't compare it to anything besides EQ1, which my friends convinced me to play years ago. WoW is A LOT better than that game was at least.

Posable girl toy with anime-junk/kibble thrown on... I'm gonna vote "LAME" on this one.

The clunky controls are what make Armored Core what it is though. I like it that way. Besides, the alternate control setup in the newest AC game is pretty smooth (although I don't use it). I do think AC needs an overhaul though. I think it lies more in mission and map design. A lot of the missions just aren't fun anymore. And NONE of the maps make me feel like I am in a huge robot. Almost all the indoor ones make it seem as if I'm merely human sized. And world interaction would certainly be a big plus. Although, in all honesty, what made me lose interest was actually just the recent change to weapons that so changed the play style and mech designs I had used since PS1 AC games. Oh, and arena mode needs a serious shot in the arm..or just take it out.

Amazing that SDC: Southern Cross merchandise

That...and that you can clearly see elements of the 5th gen. in the shots of robot Bumblebee's chest.

I thought I saw a photo somewhere indicating that the Gerbera-Tetra (AGX-04) would be comming as an HCM-pro. Was I mistaken? As someone who really only likes the "non-gundam" gundams, I'd really like to see this guy (as well as a Palace Athene and R-Jarja).

Since I don't do as much console gaming as I used to, I'll hold off for a bit. But I'll be getting one within a year I imagine. And I've never seen any statistics suggesting Sonys break more frequently than any other system. Just more people have Sonys to break and whine about on the internet. My PS1 never gave me any trouble, and my launch PS2 is still truckin'.

When MW is down I don't go anywhere else. At least nowhere that I wouldn't otherwise visit. This place is great, but I can go for a week or two without seeking you guys out. For the last two weeks the time I would have spent on MW was just more time reading.

I guess it's because I'm not a real big fan of Transformers that I'm not wedded to thier traditional designs. But the new Starscream and the movie Transformers are the best things I've seen out of this franchise in many, many years. I'd bet good money the movie will be forgetable, but the designs are winners.

I'm pretty sure that is exactly the definition of what we should consider part of our solar system...so yes.

No One's Posted About The Thundercats Revamp Yet?
Phyrox replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've never cared much for Thundercats one way or the other (at least since I was quite young), but this seems to be a capitally bad idea. Who thinks this stuff up and who OKs it? Seriously. Don't you have to have some critical thinking skills or anything? No one intelligent could think this is a good idea. No one. -
I don't think wwwmwww actually builds his kits. At least not often. More of a collecter in the true sense of the word. At least if memory serves me correctly.

This is the only, and I mean only cyclone/mospeada I would even think about buying if they made 'em: and even then I'm not really sure. I'm still disappointed in the Beta news...even if it was expected
-
Pretty lame... A resin statue? JUST what the fans want. Well, too bad about the Beta then. I didn't even care if it linked up, I've just always liked the Beta as an independant mecha anyhow. Can't say I'm too excited about Cyclones. Motorcycles just don't do it for me. All around crap news from Toynami (but not wholly unexpected I suppose).

Why don't you just sticky a link to engrish.com and call this thread done?

In Bay's defense, The Island would have been a pretty cool distopian movie if it had come out in the 70s, before the whole genre was old hat. Generally I stay away from everything he does, but who knows? Boring producer/directors have done good work before...right? Besides, what do you guys honestly expect from a Transformers movie? It was a kids cartoon from the 1980s, the semi-serious live action treatment is pretty remarkable in itself. Bottom line: Expect AVP, not Alien/Aliens
-
as someone who hasn't like transformers since the late 1980s, I am liking these "reimaginings." That MH-53 though...called incinerator, he isn't on that list of characters. Would be a shame if he didn't make the cut. A good CH-53 scene is almost enough to get me into a movie (that's why i watched The Jackal).

You know what is really sad, my family, friends, AND I could probably all live comfortably for the rest of our lives with the budget for this movie. Man that movie looks bad. But someone must like 'em, 'cause they keep making 'em.
