    British planes have nearly always been ugly. The spitfire and a few (few) others are the exception. From their WWI stable into the interwar years, to nearly everything they had in WWII...and all their coldwar stuff. Besides some of their raceplanes, the spit and its offshoots and...and...well, I can't think of any other exceptions. I'm just saying the Brits didn't go from making attractive planes to ugly ones, they made ugly planes all along and just so happened to create a few that broke that mold. Actually, I think the Victor (both in original form and it's later years as a tanker) is a great looking plane.

    Hows about: Those who are excited about the upcoming release can post about said anticipation and enjoy each other's comments. Those who lament the result of CM's efforts can post about their disappointment and commisserate with each other. And no one f'ing whines about how there seem to be "too many people who disagree with me posting in this thread." Christ.

    I'll have to listen to my Mospeada again tonight, but I don't remember the "flying" sound being very complicated. It's possible both crews hit upon the same idea for a "neato sci-fi sound."

    The condor is ugly, but I think this is a cool little discovery. Thanks for the info. I wouldn't be bothering with Palladium or HG with it, but it is cool.

    There only ever seems to be one screen in the gundams...and if it was flattened and projected to the front only, I can't imagine it would be too difficult for a trained pilot to cope with it all. confort < survivability + situational awareness

    Why not just have a screen in front of the pilot with the exterior views of all directions flattened there? I mean, a sphere sounds like a good idea until you realize that you don't have eyes on the back, top, or sides of your head. Put all the available visual information where I can see it please.

    absolutely incredible? what about this song is "stand out?" I mean, I know musical taste is very subjective...but what separates this from any number of other high engery dance/rock songs that have come out in the last 10 years or so? I'm gonna forget I heard this song five minutes from now.

    These new pics look alright. They get me thinking, "hey, this looks pretty neat, a different take than the Toynami..." Then I remember this is half of a $300 toy! It looks good for a $50 toy, It doen't look like a $150 toy. Not by a long shot.

    The linkup I don't care about... I like the Alpha, I can handle its knees being near the wingtips in fighter mode and the small intakes... I still have problems with the Beta (most notably being the droopy cockpit I mention everytime I post in this topic), but I suppose I can live with it to... ...for a reasonable price. If this set cost $100 I'd be all over it. $150 would be reasonable. $250-$300?! That's crazy talk. Crazy talk I say.
