  1. Without proper size comparisons in the palm of my hand I can't tell which is the better scale to have 1/60 or 1/100. Space considerations on my desk definitely count. I'm with Graham though, we haven't heard or seen a peep about 1/100 Valkyries at all. If they do keep it, I hope it will be high quality and worth playing around with and can stand some beating. If they don't keep it, I hope the 1/60 is easy to toy around with.
  2. Oh my is that hot or what!!! Woo-hoo. However Sheryl does look a tad bit too thin IMHO. If anyone has a clear scan that would be great.
  3. So are these 1/200 valkyries released yet? I don't recall seeing any of my specialty toy stores carrying these yet. I definitely like the VA-3M but not so much the others and I can certainly do without the chase VF-1J
  4. Upon looking at those pictures, it sure looks like the VF-27 transforms almost identical to the VF-25. But with such a big gun, it can't possibly be good for short-middle range combat unlike the VF-25's rifle. Doesn't the VF-27 remind you of the SR-71 Blackbird?
  5. Hi everyone, With all the knowledgeable Macross denizens on this board I am sure someone has the answer. I've always wondered how come there are no toys or model kits for other lesser known valkyries such as teh VF-4, VA something (looks like the viking bomber), VF-5000 Star Mirage, Pheyos Valkyrie and the other lesser known valks? I've seen scratch builds of these before in various hobby magazines but no toys or mass released model kits. If anyone could enlighten me. Thanks
  6. I echo the sentiments of previous posters. Let's focus on the toys and their release information. As someone already said, there hasn't been any release information about the 1/100 toy line yet. That's certainly odd. How do you think the 1/100 toy line will compare to the 1/72 model kit line?
  7. Thanks for the picture. Time for me to weigh in Fighter mode: - reminds me completely of the YF-21, the aft section is too similar. This would be fine except that the VF-25 is supposed to not look anything like the YF-21! The VF-25 is supposed to be "longer and sleeker". Of course it could just be the colourless of the picture or the angle. Gerwalk mode: - Those arms look way too skinny and it looks like everything is dangling off. However by dangling off, it does make it look more flexible and poseable. The aft section looks way too wafer thin and full of holes. Battroid mode: - those head lasers are WAY too long. What's the purpose of having such long head lasers anyways? - the crotch section looks mistransformed. - as mentioned before, the arms look way too skinny. As this is a prototype I'll reserve final judgement when the final toy comes out. Still I can't wait. I hope the durability is there. Listening to everyone;s comments about the Yamatos, I'm now worried about my SV-51 Nora Type. I'm supposed to finally get it today! Hope it's not as flawed as what everyone says.
  8. OMG!! I think i just lost my lunch. =) Still cool i guess in a weird sort of way.
  9. Thanks for clearing up all that confusion. I was wondering for the longest time if the 1/72 was the DX toy or the kit. But hey if the 1/72 model kit looks that good and I can easily transform it, I may consider getting that instead of the 1/60 DX. But I am sure it won't be the same. Nuts, I wish they'd all make it to a standard scale. That includesdes Yamato. And Yamato didn't write the scale for their early release. Anyone know what is the scale of the first VF-1 and YF-19, YF-21, VF-11 that Yamato did? I know there was a larger 1/48 scale later but what was the original scale? Thanks
  10. Give me the stuff Bandai uses on their rangers toys. Doesn't look the greatest but man are they ever durable. I still have my M7 toys from 13 years ago and they took quite a beating before too. However if they can look liek Yamato stuff that's good too just that durability was never a Yamato strong point. just look at my TWO VF-11s. I can't wait any longer, when are Bandai's DX VF-25s and variants going to come out? I need to know so I can start budgeting.
  11. I've read some of the thread here but i don't see a picture of Mikhail's sister. Where is she? So Mikhail is like good friend that's going to get killed and galvanizes Alto?
  12. Someone needs to consolidate all those links. Need to review them after work today.
  13. I tried to google for them too, but got way too many links from chinese pages. Looks like all streaming too. Want something i can stick on my phone.
  14. I concurr with some previous comments that NUNS cannot be made up of all incompetent pilots. They must have an ace or two in their mix. It would make good story telling to show some sort of rivalry between NUNS and SMS pilots. Actual pilot to pilot and not ust organizational competition. PMC usually recruit ex-military personnel since they would already have experienced and were highly trained. So SMS picking up Mikhail, Luca and Alto is sort of strange. But then again, if they were on genius level i guess it would make sense to recruit them. So it would appear no one has answered what SMS stands for is that right or did I miss it?
  15. Or how do you pronounce "MacHine"? If you were thinking of macdonalds, then read again. machine. =)
  16. Nobody seems to have answered my question yet. Sorry if i am posting it again but I'm really curious. What I still don't get from reading the thread is, who come Michael and Luca are in SMS and have their own VFs but Alto being a classmate has nothing? Is there something i am missing here? Thanks
  17. Ahh all you guys are so lucky. I can't support torrents on my PC due to lack fo space and the age of it. I can only wait for the subs to happen on veoh (which seems to be the only streaming site that doesn't pull stuff). What I still don't get from reading the thread is, who come Michael and Luca are in SMS and have their own VFs but Alto being a classmate has nothing? Is there something i am missing here?
  18. Wow just finished watching the opening and it's awesome. The graphics are great, shows us a lot of interesting things up front. Alto Hime is hilarious and I sort of feel sorry for him. He looks totally like a girl. The song itself is ok, it isn't very "hard core get going, raa raa" type of song. It won't whip the troops into action like the opening for Gundam00 or Gundam Seed, however the song is very reminiscient of the original Macross where is was pop music but not hard core. Very interested in viewing that fighter that flies against the VF-25. I wonder what it is. I hope it isn't an enemy fighter. It'd be silly for the enemy to have transformable mecha so similar to the good guys.
  19. Oh I can't wait till it hits the streaming video sites. No other possible way for me to view it. So it has been established that Ranka is actually Lanka right?
  20. I guess all they can show right now are the grey prototypes. I wonder how much of a gamble Bandai is making here. Are they going to go with a product blitz or just have a few items to test the market first?
  21. The new opening song, sounds ok, it certainly is not as hip as Don't be Late but the new song does have a nice beat to it. Only 1 more week to go and we'll get to see the first episode which for most of us, we have already seen. So I guess most of us shouldn't get excited until 2 weeks later?
  22. Was this new news? I thought we already knew the existence of these 3 lines. In any case I'm looking forward to the 1/60 DX toys. Should be awesome. I hope they come with the full armour and stuff. Gotta love those bad-ass armoured valks.
  23. I have a MIB Red JOONS VF-1J. Also got it off ebay a long time ago. It was worth something then. Now I'd be hard pressed to even find a buyer. Right now just collecting dust and taking up valuable space. Considered just chucking it out or donating it.
  24. YEah I look forward to the time to see more toy pictures. I haven't read the thread in a while and saw the good news about the toys and then right after that there became so much text comparing Bandai and Yamato. So long as some decent/good toys are produced I am happy. While I wouldn't want the VF25 to be overly simplistic, so long as they are better than the M7 stuff that'll be great. Of course back in the day the M7 stuff was good when I was at that age. Now that I'm older I'd want something more detailed so it isn't a fair comparison.
  25. I doubt the military will roll out another main-line fighter. the VF-25 is supposed to be the most advanced, whatever is between the VF-17 and the VF-25 were all advanced fighters not for mass consumption.
