I say don't do peace talk yet, let NUNS and LAI develop more advance variable fighter and weapons . So Vajra is an evolving bio-mechanical weapon, and it has already adapted with NUNS/SMS standard weaponary (including reaction weapon). Since Vajra is quite vulnerable to beam weapon (eg. Zentreadi rifle) this mean the Vajra is relatively new to the Galaxy, if its not the Vajra has already encountered Zentraedi and adapted to their weapons. This support my theory that Vajra is man made.

I think NMC does have rail cannons, the two dual cannons on the side/shoulder of the ship (Battle-7 type). Battle-7 is probably got the worst action record in term of show, it was shown only during transformation and firing its Macross Cannon. We never see any other weapons on it, even it was shown to have several missile launchers popping up, we never know where the location of those launchers are. I was even pissed of when Battle-7 fold in and ram the nearest Varauta ship (even Max said there's not enough time to transform and fire the Macross Cannon). If all the NMC Battle class are unique, I wonder what Battle-1 look like, maybe I just grab one of Miyatake concept design and designated it Battle-1 to Battle-6

I think Algenicus lineart doesn't exist at all, I wonder if Macross Chronicle will cover this one later. All I know about Algenicus is that ship is a special op cruiser with variable wing of sort. About the 2nd pic, that is one of the ship used by the whale poacher, its a small ship (probably a corvette) armed only with a small beam cannon. Again, I haven't seen any more lineart of it.

Nope, those are the AA artillery. The only time we saw the beam cannons firing is in SDF:M just after they fold to Pluto, and during the battle with Bodolza. Hell, even we never saw the rail cannons firing, not even once.
