About the Macross Chronicles
Morpheus replied to Isamu test pilot's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Its too graphic IMO, I have to cover that part everytime I show Macross Chronicle to my son. BTW, how do you arrange the sheets in multiple binders? Sort it based on series? -
Concept of IRL stealth technology was introduced in Macross universe since Mac 7/Plus with the active/passive stealth on valk and some capital ships designated as stealth frigate/carrier/cruiser. However it seems that being stealth is pretty useless in space, stealth ships are always spotted by enemy, even got hit from long range. During operation Stargaze in Mac 7, the stealth frigate release several chaff to diffuse its fold signature, yet it was detected by the Varauta using their advance Spiritia detection system. I say stealth ships are useless in space unless its capable of full cloaking.

The term Battle-Carrier were also used in late WW2 when the Japanese Navy refitted an Ise class battleship to incorporated a flightdeck on it stern. So I agree that NMC can be classified into Battle Carrier (plenty of big guns with the ability to carry its own valk squadron), however the Uraga class seems to be under gunned to be classified into Escort Battle Carrier. Quarter can also be classified into Battle Carrier since it literally carried a carrier and a BFG I wonder if Quarter could carry two BFG or two carrier at the same time.

Macross Frontier Mecha/Technology Thread III *Read 1st Post*
Morpheus replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That just phase 1 of Macross Frontier withdrawal syndrome, it may become worst. -
Hmm, Macross vs other, let see now, my fav MECHA anime so far is (besides Macross and its sequel): - LoGH - Zeta Gundam - Gundam 0083 - V Gundam - Banner of the Star and its sequel - Getter Robo and its sequel - Evangelion - Escaflowne - Mospeada - Heroic Age - GunBuster - Nadesico - Gao Gai Gar - RahXephon - Eureka 7 Argento Soma come close since it got some weird transformable mecha. There's other but I forgot which one. Few mecha anime could successfully blend mecha action with music and love story but Macross did it.

Off course singing can't stop a fighting, just like when the Meltrandi retreat after blowing SDF-1 main gun, Minmay was humming ai oboeteimasuka at the background, but the real reason why the Meltran retreat is the sudden appearance of Bodol class mobile fortress with its 4-5 million escort fleet Throwing confusion is much more probable, imagine when the communication channel is suddenly replaced by pop music, all battle coordination will be lost throwing it into disarray. Now I'm wondering how the Bodol fleet would react if

So its her, now I want a full version of Aimo done by her. I always associated Maya with Yoko Kanno since plenty of her song is created by Kanno (Escaflowne, Earth Girl Arjuna, Lodoss War TV intro)

OOT: Battleships era are gone and they role are replaced by Aircraft Carriers. In fact, the American have plans of making the Montana class which is more heavier than the Yamato, it was never finished. In short LR missiles >>> big gunz on battleship.

There are other hot women as well, like Wendy Ryder. Also this is the only Macross where the main character is not a valkyrie pilot (altought he did pilot a civilian SNN valk in the beginning).

In Macross 7, the original Battle-7 (or The Big-M) was destroyed during the final battle. They redbuild her, and christened the name "Battle Bomber", the original plan to paint it red was rejected by Major Miriya.

 Question: In VFX-2, NMC Battle-13 was hijacked and destroyed by UN forces, does this mean there are no Macross-13 colony fleet? Also, did Macross-13 even shown up in the colonization chart depicted in Frontier?

Ok, who is singing Aimo at the end of Track 19 (the battle medley)?

Summary of all SDFM/DYRL references in Macross Frontier
Morpheus replied to dreamweaver13's topic in Movies and TV Series
DYRL 1. During the final battle a Zentran gunship approach SDF-1:M with its gunport splitting open, it was then destroyed by beam fire few moments before it could fire its main gun. 2. Beer can missile 3. SDF:M main gun destroyed by Meltrandi main gun 4. Trash can robot Frontier: 1. Few second into the series, a Vajra gunship approach Battle Frontier while opening its hull, it was destroyed by Quarter shortly before it could fire. (episode 25) 2. Apale Genki can missile (episode 14) 3. Both Battle frontier and Quarter Macross Cannon were disabled by Battle Galaxy 4. Trash can robot (episode 1) -
I want to see Alto reaction when Sheryl-Ranka performing Triangular in front of him, if he still doesn't decide it, I'll cut his ear and poke his eyes out

(Finished reading 4 pages long of debate...) Hmm, movies about singing idol ending war. Well, American Idol didn't stop the war either In fact, each time I saw American Idol on streaming sites, I want to wage war against something. I think its only in anime we can find singing truly affecting a course of war (Macross 7/Rah Xephon/the Black Metal thingy). In live action movie, its only used for OST or for musical opera. It would be different if "The Sound of Music" depicts the ending of war by singing directly to Hitler. My conclusion, NO.

- Macross Cannon - Metal Siren - Silvie Geena It still pretty solid despite being non-canon
