AFAIK that's how SK made the valk series, he imagine what a normal fighter look like in batroid mode and made the necessary transformation. Since most valk are designed from fighter mode to batroid, I wonder how they design the VB-6 to fit as a space shuttle since the basis is the Monster.

Here's my speculation: - NMC connected with City/Island section -> Battle-XX, to differ it from the name of the Fleet (Immigration Fleet) - NMC without City/Island section -> Macross-XX. So there are plenty of New Macross Carrier being built, the difference is whether they are assigned as flagship to an immigration fleet or not on which they became the command section of the main city/island of the fleet.

I can see that Seravee is a heavy artillery MS, let me check the armaments: - 2 beam cannon on the knee - 2 beam cannon on the shoulder - 2 custom GN Bazooka which can be combined into: - Hyper GN bazooka (2 bazooka combined) - Twin GN bazooka (each bazooka connected into shoulder beam cannon - Backpack Gundam Head - GN field. However it still doesn't have any melee weapon and all the cannon are energy based (which can be dispersed with that anit-beam smoke). I wonder if they will include non-energy cannon to it as an upgrade (just like when they upgrade Gundam X Leopard into Leopard Destroy).

I don't think we will see VF-1 or any of the original destroid in this movie because of certain issue. But maybe we will got a transformer like Starscream with a submersible Nimitz-based carrier. I still think this movie will stuck and forgotten in development hell.

Any of you guys remember whether they called Macross-13 as Macross-13 or Battle-13 in VFX-2? Since only the carrier are hijacked, they should called it Battle-13, but IIRC the operators called it Macross-13.

I agree with Save, those are the current anime trends in Japan right now. Anime rating is based on the fan on Japan I think and I think anime production will always fulfill Japanese fan standard on term of anime (cliche and fan services alike). If any of you want a somewhat mature anime that almost fit with western standard, I suggest watching Studio Ghibli's anime.

Can I take an example from Mospeada? The Armo-Fighter fold its entire forward fuselage upward and placed it on the back. The transformation itself seems much more simplified than VF-1. I think the Varaute FZ series also placed the cockpit in the back in batroid mode since the forward fuselage folded multiple time and the tip of the nose strangely became the batroid head. Not to mention the mecha itself is quite small in size.
