  1. Reading this thread reminds me of one of the most interesting space combat anime "GINGA SENGOKU GUN YUUDEN RAI". Its really cool since you got shogun and samurai warrior, riding a battleship with a huge guns and some of the craziest boarding action. Damn I miss this anime :D I only to manage to collect some of the original manga.

    back to topic:

LoGH is probably the best space military depiction in anime in terms of strategy and troops deployment.

  2. Well, I've found a place for the entire series that was re-encoded to .avi files. They're also direct DL through Megaupload, too.

Still a tiny bit skippy through my VLC, but at least I can watch the damn things now!

MS IGLOO: The Hidden One-Year War Avi Encodes (1-3 Out)

MS IGLOO: Apocalypse 0079 Avi Encodes (1-3 Out)

Darn, it request me to download the Megaupload toolbar. The mkv format sucks, all I got is a slideshow (I tried everything, CCCP pack, mp classic).

I manage to watch episode 1 at youtube before they remove it :p Now I need to watch the rest of them.

  3. Some comments about the Nupetiet-Vergnitzs-Class Fleet Command Battleship. I think the ship is issued to all Fleet Commanders, not just Britai. Another Nupetiet-Vergnitzs were present during the factory satellite capture operation, commanded by another Zentran (I forgot his name).

  4. What about Tesla shield?

    http://www.cheniere.org/books/part1/teslaweapons.htm

The Saryshagan howitzer actually is a huge Tesla scalar interferometer with four modes of operation. One continuous mode is the Tesla shield, which places a thin, impenetrable hemispherical shell of energy over a large defended area. The 3-dimensional shell is created by interfering two Fourier-expansion, 3-dimensional scalar hemispherical patterns in space so they pair-couple into a dome-like shell of intense, ordinary electromagnetic energy. The air molecules and atoms in the shell are totally ionized and thus highly excited, giving off intense, glowing light. Anything physical which hits the shell receives an enormous discharge of electrical energy and is instantly vaporized -- it goes pfft! like a bug hitting one of the electrical bug killers now so much in vogue.

Its kinda difficult to tell whether the above article is fact or science fiction.

  5. thanks for the recommendations, i think I'll go look for turn A since it's made by Tomino. I think Gundam Wing

and gundam seed dvds are availabe in the UK, so maybe one of them too. Is seed meant to be a like a re-imagined version of first gundam like the new battlestar galactica? Some of the mecha look very similar to first gundam.

If Seed is a reimagination of the first Gundam series, then I would like Lacus Clyne using the Providence Gundam fighting Kira, and end up stabbed by him when Lacus trying to protect Athrun :p

  6. I'm still wandering what happened to Yazan now, If ZZ never existed I would like to see Yazan return in CCA. So, based on the movie series Haman survives (including her Qubeley), this will make a problem since I'm sure Haman will do something when Char is return with his Neo Zeon flag.

That and I think they should of kept the original ending, I wasn't too thrilled of Camille walking away without a scratch and the only thing bugging him was having to change his helmet.

What's bothering me is that since when a MS pilot carried a spare helmet

  7. I just finished watching Gaogaigar Final, and I admit that I'm hooked with that giant transformable battleship, the J-ark and the enemy battle carrier ( I heard the name is Pia Decem Bit or something). I'm searching the web right now for the pic and stat for those giant  .

I must say it was awesome to see a triple deck carrier transform into a giant robot  . I will add that to the transformable ships that I know (like SDF-1, battle-7, Yggdrasil IV, Iron Gear and Harvester Nirvana).

  8. I can only found the Balance of Judgement on the web, there supposed to be lots of ships design from Andromeda TV series, too bad not many of them are available on the web.

My list of ships in Andromeda:

    - High Guard ships (including the Andromeda and the Balance of Judgement)

    - High Guard drones and slip fighter

    - Nietchean cruisers and Garuda class fighter

    - Genites Seraphim class carrier

    - Ne Holland ships.

    - New Commowealth ships

    - Magog swarm ship and World ship

    - Other faction, like the Eureka Maru.

  9. I have tried the games by using a GBA emulator, and it rocks :D .

I'll have to start saving to get a GBA pretty soon :p . The story is much better in the games compare with the TV series (I take both Kyosuke and Ryuusei route), however I think its better if the TV series is following Kyosuke route :) .

I'll probably be waiting for the R-1 from Kotobukiya, it has some similiarity with Zeta Gundam (waverider and R-Wing) since I already have all the Zeta Gundams (HGUC, MG, MSiA). Can't wait for that

  10. Hi guys, recently I stumbled upon some mecha design from SRW OG, and at the same time starting to watch SRW OG: Divine war. The mecha design is nice (Hajime Katoki is one of the designer and I'm a fan of his design) and the story is somehow about invasion by alien. All I know that this is different from the rest of SRW series.

I also saw the CM for SRW OG game in television (forgot for which platform it was), but currently I don't have any gaming console (I'm planning to buy a PSP for my wife birthday in mid November).

So which one is best to explore the SRW OG, by playing the game or watching the TV series and OVA? B))
