Maiden Japan

I Signed up a position for Exibit Display Coordinator.

It is a fantastic kit, but the price is just not acceptable. I think because in Japanese market the most retailers sells new items 30% off MSRP, which makes the original price of 7140 yen goes down to 4998 yen, just under 5000 yen. ...wow...still not worth it. I think I will stick with 1/60 scale Yamato's, too.

I'd rather prefered cartoon style cel shaded art than this realistic look painting. I'm not saying this is bad, but personally it doesn't fit to this style. But then again it's only a package.

This model might be quite difficult if you are beginner. It is not a snap-together assemble. It requires full glueing and painting. It comes with two interchangeable cockpit - nose cone parts. One use for Battroid mode, and one use for Fighter-Gerwalk mode. This is a re-released package from 90's but the original kit was released around '83 and back then it was the best transforming kit. Some of the nice thing about this kit is that it comes with die-cast landing gears with real rubber tires. Other than that it requires a lot of works and skills. I assembled and painted Milia version about 15 years ago. It is a fun kit. If you can find it around $15~$20 you should try it.

I think there is a paint mistake on Hikaru's helmet on this TV VF-1J. It should be blue on top of helmet, not white that's on paint sample.

They only saying about Macross kits. Those Mospeada kits made by Imai is now owened by Aoshima, not Bandai.

I hope they can reissue Monster kit. It will be a fist time in over 20 years if that kit ever get re-released. I hope that injection molds are still in good condition after so many years been untouched.

I'm sorry man, that 1/100 scale is retail price of 5775 yen which is about $60 US.

I like it but it's a bit pricey for 4500 yen. They should be released as a model kit. The price would've be 1000~1500 yen.
