  1. You mean he can be even worse than this?!? Reading things the way I wanted to? Right. It wasn't until eugimon called some of us "bandaides" that Shin mentioned "yamaturds". Everyone's post had a polite tone to it when making opinions of the DX and in response to other posts, all except for eugimon. While not all his posts are like that, I detect harsh tone in a lot of posts, not just in this thread either.
  2. The more I see the VF-25 the more I fall in love with it. I hope this kit gets released soon. One thing that bothers me about the greenish gray prototype is that the nose cone is a bit small and goes way too much into the torso. Also the hips are too wide because of the ball joint system. I wonder why this sculpt couldn't be (or didn't get) scaled up for the DX. There should be more space for more details and reinforcing the thing if it's bigger.
  3. I hope there's a spring loaded mechanism that pops off the limbs. Lol.
  4. I find it interesting that eugimon's always the first one to use harsh tone and call names.
  5. The 1/72 model looks better but lets hope they refine the DX some more.
  6. Interesting. Maybe it's not exactly 100% PT. The fin just might pop off and replaced. Lol. Now we just need to figure out where the landing gear goes.
  7. Meh. I'll reserve opinions until after I see the actual toy.
  8. It's amazing how you can judge the DX from such a small promo poster. You must have good eyes.
  9. I remember not too long ago that threads were talking about how Bandai is not going to give us what we want for MF merchandise and how they can't make a good looking valkyrie toy. Lol.
  10. They are doing a 1/60 Chogokin VF-25. Also doesn't Yamato have inspectors that are trained to look for defects in the products before they pack?? They should hire Graham to train others to do QC. Lol.
  11. Are there any official news that the purple fighter and company are called VF-27 and that they are NUNs fighters? I know someone posted the "VF-27" in one of the episode summary but I can't help but think it's just speculation. Same thing with the unclear "NUNs" symbol.
  12. The eyes of the bridge bunny with purple hair is creepy.
  13. I can only wish for a PG in 1/32 or 1/48 scale. I'd pay good money for it. Lol.
  14. I would say they're closer to MGs with a 4200 yen ($40USD) price tag. Not a lot of HG kits go for more than 2800 yen. There's not much room for internal frames so they'll probably go with something like the older MG with limited internal frame.
  15. No it's not. There's a sign saying it's a 1/72 in the picture I posted on the last page. There is no official news that these are MG kits. Their recent HGUC kits have gotten a lot better too. I would assume that it'd be something between a HG and a MG. Fighters in this scale will probably not have a full internal frame. Just the legs maybe.
  16. That's weird. I've built many kits from SDs to PGs and everything in between and none of them had issues with the pins not going where they're suppose to.
  17. Maybe it's just the pilot being superior.
  18. I decide whether a model is good or bad by how easy it is to put together. The skills of filling in seams, masking and gluing parts came around because the models needed it to be complete. If there was a kit out there that has perfect detail, does not need glue and hides seams perfectly, there wouldn't be the need to use those skills. I don't get why anyone would complain that they wouldn't have to. IMO it's the paint job that makes the model and anything that can make the painting process easier is welcomed. Bandai has done that with their engineering skills. Hiding seam lines so there's no need for putty, snap fitting parts so glue won't mess up the paint and making multi sectional parts so no masking is need and using ABS for durability is what other companies should do. If Bandai can make their models with Hasegawa's detail then that would be wonderful. Hasegawa doesn't hide seams either (VF-1 nose area) and their detail is so fine that it gets covered up in priming, sanding and painting. Maybe you haven't put together some of their newer MG kits but they are rock solid. If you always paint everything, why does it matter what color the plastic comes in? A good paint job requires priming anyways. Maybe you were building bootleg kits so that's why the snap pins don't line up.
  19. Yup...that's the 1/72.
  20. I agree that that's just the Ozuma's VF-25 1/72 kit. I hope that it uses MG tech.
  21. Off topic but what programs do you guys use for screen caps?
  22. Awesome episode. Love the big gun pod and gundam style shoulder armor on the VF-27. Wish it was on the VF-25 instead though. I want a 12 inch action figure of the 1/4 pounder!
