Pre-Robotech Macross Fan! Thanks to friends who had friends in Japan with VCRs in the early 80's. Anyone else remember the good old days of "Japanimation," bad 10th generation dubs with no subs, and waiting years sometimes to catch even a few episodes of some great show? Man! How many of you guys were waiting around in 1999 for the ASS-1? I think some of us need some serious psychiatric care... Scary... BTW, Mari Iijima is about 40 and is way better looking, way more interesting, and a lot more loveable than Minmay was at any age.

I voted for the NEC TurboExpress. I had one of these for a long time and it was great. It played the same HuCards that were used in the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 home consoles. Amazing graphics and gameplay for a dual-8-bit system, far superior to any of the systems of it's day (i.e. Famicom and SMS). It's always sad to me to see that such great systems go largely unknown by American fans in the post-Robotech era.

BTW, I think he might have actually been asking about the little white G-shaped thing on the apparent radar dish.

When will we ever just accept that production companies sometimes mess up? Oh the stories I could tell of screw-ups in productions I've worked on! It just happens. We're just human beings after all. What never ceases to amaze me, though, is how we fans try to rationalize production mistakes as being intentional and completely explainable as reasonable parts of the show. (Star Trek fans are notorious for this kind of behavior!) A mistake is just a mistake, laugh at it, shake your head, and let it go.
