I'm guessing it is the ASN version, makes more sense since they're in Hong Kong right? NCS regularly stocks both the ASN and JPN version of certain games, but they tell you which version you're ordering. BTW, Lik Sang recently got sued by Nintendo and they've since reformed and become a "reputable" importer (i.e. no black market copying devices). A friend ordered from there once before and everything arrived okay, but I'd still recommend NCS. Lik Sang is good.... but in all honesty, don't order from them if you live outside the US. Because they are based in HK even the cheapest shipping types is already through the roof. Even to the US its already hlj level expensive.

I know this is probably not the appropriate place to ask.... but where in the world is the new YF19FP?
-
You guys sure they aren't selling the ASN version of the game? Lately.... some game get the JPN version and the ASN version. While both version usually come out at the same time, some of them might have a slight lag between them.... I think this might be the case with Lik Sang as they are a HK retailer.

VF1 toys? I remember Bandai wasn't really interested in reissuing all the VF1 toys because there wasn't interest in them and the sales were lacking. VF1 models? Are you talking about the short reissue was had a few months ago? You do realize they were close to 10 years old, right? And several other companies make more Macross models then Bandai. As for Gundam... its called success and demand. And besides.... they can milk Gundam as much as they want, as long as they are putting out the quality stuff, ppl could care less about the crap they put out once in a while.

www.ncsx.com is the best place to get your import fix.

Zillion on DVD starting Dec. 2003
Abombz!! replied to 1st Border Red Devil's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
About time!! Zillion is one of the first animes I watched... and IMO it got much better when each member of the team got their own custom Zillion gun. I always loved the alien design.... specially that guy with the chopped off horn. -
Bwahaha!! I would trade the Go'auld mothership for an Asgard battleship.

So wait... you get 2 versions of Bodolza? Does the same applies to the other Zentradis? Does that mean that choosing either arm will give you radically different missions? What about UN Spacy pilots? Do they look any different? Or do they still wear DYRL swag by default? This sooooo confusing!!
-
I kind of like the color scheme. But.... isn't the head a bit tiny?

And thats great.... really... I bet everyone was wishing for a new one. <_<

I know what you mean. But still, some of the SDF plot devices have to be there. If you chose the SDF set up and still get giant Max and Millia in the end it won't really make much sense to have that option in the first place. It would be nice to get to see Millia wearing the DYRL UN Spacy flight suit.

Be nice!! Welcome Nana. BTW.... nana in portuguese is slang for "no no".
-
I wonder if changing the arms will also change the way the characters look and the Bodolza fortress design. As for the versus mode, its nice all, but lets hope its not "player vs player over generic back ground", lets hope you actually add something like destructable stuff, such as capital ships and or buildings, to make the arena more entertaining. And lets hope they don't forget to add enemy mechas. If at the end of the day you can't fight a blue 1A/S with a red/green Qrau in versus mode.... you know theres something missing in the game.
-
Not hard at all. There are several importers that will most likely carry the game. All you have to do is find someone to install a mod chip for you, and that might be the tricky part. Its not cheap, but not really that hard.
-
This is nice and all... but am I the only one getting a SW:Rogue Leader vibe from it? As in.... fanboys heaven that last less then 1 hour. I mean... looking at that jibberished text made me notice the fact that the game has only 8 levels. I know there are tons of unlockable fighters, but how long does it take to get through 8 levels in an action game? 1 hour? 45 minutes? Heck.... even Battlecry had more levels then that (provided they all felt the same). I don't mean to sound like the negativity queen I always come off as..... but I'm worried about paying $68 for a game that has 3 hours worth of replayability.
-
No need to wait and see.... as far as we can tell.... this plays nothing like BC and M3... which, in my opinion, is enough to make even non fans happy.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm not sure if I should take Famitsu's review with a grain of salt (magarita anyone). I don't really care because it looks like a kick ass game. Here are the latest Japanese game review scores: PlayStation 2 Chain Dive (Sony) - 7, 6, 7, 6 (26 / 40) Energy Air Force: Aim Strike (Taito) - 8, 8, 7, 6 (27 / 40) Jurassic Park Management Simulation (Konami) - 8, 7, 7, 7 (30 / 40) Macross: Super Dimension Fortress (Bandai) - 8, 7, 6, 7 (28 / 40) Samurai Michi: Way of the Samurai 2 (Spike) - 8, 8, 7, 8 (31 / 40) Shadow Tower Abyss (From Software) - 8, 8, 8, 8 (32 / 40) Its up to you. I trust them, many games they said were, were in fact good, while games they rated low were bad. And like I said in my first post (if anyone else other then Graham cared to notice) 28 is not a bad grade at all. Very few games are rated above 30 on Famitsu, so 28 would be 7 to 7.5, which is a pretty damn good grade.
-
Any link? Graham It was posted by the-magicbox.com.... they are usually trustworthy so I don't think we need to worry about how real it is. http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm check under october 9th news.

I thought you guys would like to know... but Famitsus review is in. The new Macross game got 28 out of 40, with 8,7,6,7 as review scores. Thats a pretty good score. It would have been more significant if we could compare that to the scores VFX, VFX2 and M3 got, but I can't seem to find them anymore.

Ever heard of something called importing? Ever notice not all members here are americans? And that some of them can speak and read japanese, meaning they could have played those games already. Just because you can't play them now, doesn't mean other members haven't played them already. Then explain to me why FFT Advance isn't on the list either. Its a completly different game from FF Tactics, and it should have been there. And for the record.... neither are FF3 or X-2 but due to some miracle.... they made it into the poll. <_<
-
Could anyone include Crystal Chronicles and FFXI on their next FF related poll? They are great games on their own, and I think they deserve to be mentioned.

Wasn't Arnold the voice of one of the bears or another animal in Dr. Dolittle?

Err... when Bodolza died. As Britais siding with the SDF1 didn't really stop the war. Well ok technicaly when did the war end. Now thats a tough one. You could say it was when Bodolza was defeated, or you could say it was when Quamzin rammed the SDF1. Honestly.... Bodolzas defeat is more of a clear cut ending of SW1, while Quamzin was the clear cut ending for the after war revolts.
