Heh... I thought it was spelled T'sentraeti. ::ducks the incoming rotten tomatoes:: Aaaauughhhh....no....I'll stick to the Other Anime Forums...I promise!

Ah...finally got a screen cap of this...thanks to Rob Morgenstern. He and dont agree on what this vessel is (I still maintain that its a space station while he believes its a satellite)....but no one is perfect. Anyway...here is the screen cap from eps. #2 Make Up. And here is what I think its based upon (courtesy of Jeff Russel's Starship Dimensions webpage). BTW...anyone else notice what looks like doors in the line sketch where the numerals 25 are?

The foreigner is actually Shawn Howell I believe. He wrote a piece about years ago in Mangazine for Antarctic Press.

Hey all, for those of you that are SC fanatics like me, I figured I would share the wealth in regards to some screen caps I was able to just recently take. The following two caps are from the clean opening of Super Dimensional Cavalry: Southern Cross. In the Bioroid battle line are two mecha in particular. The first is the dark blue/purple Late Generation Type I Bioroid (Advanced Bioroid Soldier in Robotech) that was misidentifed as the Bioroid Worker by Palladium and the Bioroid Invid Fighter in Robotech Art 1 (and released as such by Matchbox...painted red no less...the bastards!). There are four in the line dispersed between Green Bioroids. The second, and more important, mecha is the yellow-khaki Late Generation Type II Bioroid Commander (Advanced Bioroid Commander in Robotech). Its in the lower left hand corner and can barely be seen.

And if that dont settle this Mechamaniac....nothing will...

Newbie Questions on Macross

No... the Zentraed never fought the Invid in Robotech. He more than likely got it fighting against the Disciples of Zor. As for Macross...wouldnt it have been in fighting the Supervision Army? -

Ok... any word on just WHAT the Valkyrie uses for reaction mass? -
28 days later gets a sequel!
1st Border Red Devil replied to eugimon's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hmmm.... Im ambivalent at the moment to a sequel. I liked 28 Days. I love a good Zombie flick. I play All Flesh Must Be Eaten and Zombies!...its the gamer in me that did it. -
The Dev Team for Middle-Earth Online has truly shocked alot of us. The game seems to be turning around quite a bit to where it actually LOOKS like it could be Middle-Earth. Gubtug's armour was one of the first big indicators that the team was actually listening to those of us in the forums. MEO looks like it might make it right after all (though there are kinks...like the current look of the Wargs...not good). As for SWG....Im waiting still for the expansion before getting it. My buddy that got it canceled his account not too long ago and is waiting as well. ::sighs:: Gotta get back to playing EQ in a while...been 2 months since I stopped playing...paying and not playing is dumb.

Newbie Questions on Macross
1st Border Red Devil replied to Roy Focker's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Just to back up what Nanashi has said....nuclear reactors would be the power plant for the Valkyrie. Reaction mass (liquid water maybe?) is still necessary to go from point a to point b as well as being used in vernier thrusters and so forth. No reaction mass and no movement. -
West End Games is back....
1st Border Red Devil replied to 1st Border Red Devil's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Its a good thing because West End put out some absolutely great products for years on end. They had one of the best game engines out there (D6) and it was quite a shock when we learned that they had to shut their doors back in '98. The pisser was that they were making money hand over fist with the Star Wars license and were set to capitalize on The Phantom Menace when they had to close up shop. The industry was going through a shakeup period at the time with alot of companies losing their licenses and others completely shutting down. The gaming industry kinda went into the toliet about that time. As much as we don't like to admit it, the whole D20 Open Gaming License revitalized the industry and got it moving again. Now the problem is that the D20 OGL is being overused to the point where its created a glut...the industry is going to stagnate and their has been increasing backlash against the D20 OGL. -
West End Games is back....

Funniest thing I ever did was playing in the Paranoia Live Action game at NecronomiCon last year. I $hit you not...the Computer was played by a 6 yr old girl. Talk about capricious and insane! She walked up to one guy, elevated him to Green and then reversed herself and had him fried on the spot! -
Well.... after an almost 6 yr hiatus, West End Games is returning to the market. Thankfully, the old owners are long gone...may the old President rot for putting all his profits into a failing shoe company. Anywho, for those of us that grew up on playing the old Star Wars D6, Torg and Shatterzone RPGs there is now a light at the end of the tunnel. West End Games' Official Webpage

Newbie Questions on Macross

Best guess.... the preAnti-Unification War name of what would become the United Earth Forces. The UEG and UEF replaced the old United Nations circa 2005 or so. RDF is NOT the official name. -
Magic and technology in Macross
1st Border Red Devil replied to ewilen's topic in Movies and TV Series
I hate to add to this thread....cause lets be honest...I dislike Macross Zero and I hate Macross 7....and coming to the defense of either is an anathema to me.... but.... couldnt Spiritia follow Clarke's Law? Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic - Arthur C. Clarke Is it really so outrageous to believe that what we saw in Macross 7 was simply the technology of the Protoculture? -

The Chronicles of Riddick
1st Border Red Devil replied to Otaku-Smeghead's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No...its a sequel. Jack is now in her late teens. And Keith David's family issue is explored. I liked it....but I would have liked it more if they had stuck with the more hard sf feel of Pitch Black instead of the near-mystical stuff. Also space travel was wonky in this compared to Pitch Black. An intersting universe however....and the Necromunger's remind me VERY much of the Space Wolves and so forth of the Warhammer 40k Universe. -

Oh please, Agent One. Gimme a break. I LIVE in God's Waiting Room (Tampa Bay). Traffic could not be that bad compared to the Bay area.
