I was even more disapointed with their 1/72 scale StarFury.

Oooh man I have been putting off buying a 1/48 because I was waiting for this release. It's going straight to the top of my build list.

Nothing yet for me. Anyone else still waiting? Maybe they'll show up next week.

A quick update: Jason messaged me to say that casting replacements is almost done, and should have been posted already or Monday at the latest.

Just a heads up that mine hasn't arrived either.

I wonder if Bandai hit on the idea of producing this because of how many of the old Imai variable kits were being sold during the latest round of repops? That might explain what market the new kit is being aimed at. Bertt

Thanks MT. But compared to your Deadalus it's a pretty simple build and is nowhere near as well built as yours. The rest is lit up (I posted some pics a few pages back) but not landing bays. As a bench queen I just really want to see this finished. As soon as I finish rigging the secondary engines and set the mounts for the stand, can seal this up and get on with painting.

I agree. Trouble is I'm making use of parts I already had, so the flicker rate is pre set and cant be changed without a significant amount of work. So for now that's good enough for me :-)

Progress has been slow but I managed to get some work done and ran the engines with my new mods.

Its great when manufacturers get on board like that. John Moscato will always have my deepest regards for shipping (to Australia at no extra cost) me two new fuselage halves, and four new engine bells for the Samurai Monkey Models Atmospheric Booster kit. As he parts I received were so badly cast as to be unusable. And he wasn't even doing the casting Well done Jason.
