  1. What is the movie about? And is it available in English?
  2. But what if I argued that Shin had indeed been all dead inside, and that it was his contact with Sara over the past 4 episodes that have healed him? He tells Sara that she's been so busy healing everybody else that she hasn't healed herself....why not include Shin in there somewhere? Guess that could be... but if it needs arguing for, rather than being made apparent in the narrative itself, then it points to something missing in the storytelling. It's pretty abrupt, either way-- Shin transformed from a vaguely annoying character without much personality or capacity for levity-- to someone much warmer and possessing an actual sense of humor. I would personally have preferred to see hints of these traits in pre-Sara and pre-Mao Shin, ie, joking more darkly and sarcastically with Edgar, or making the same sort of poignant observations about people around him, but through darker and more pessimistic eyes. Seems it'd make for more convincing development that way-- rather than transforming abruptly from "Every hates me, nobody likes me, you trust anyone and YOU DIE," Shin to love-happy-joking-sensitive-observant Shin. What I mean is that it's obvious Sara's affected Shin and is responsible for his new outlook. Floating rocks and boobies do that. But the actual transformation isn't as compelling as it could have been-- Shin seems to have traded personalities with someone in the matter of a single episode, rather than simply seeing things differently now than from before. -Al I thought Shin's character development was gradual, and not instantaneous.... As for the flying totem, there are two circle looking things under the totem that glow...I'm guessing it's what's keeping it afloat. ...The way I look at things with the flying rocks and stuff. When Sara sang, everything came to life... Music coming from her has that kind of power. Just like when Minmay sang and confused the Zentran...and brought peace, so to say. It's the power in their voice...one could say. Her voice made the rocks float...etc...... Isn't it what Macross is about though? Music, Love, Mecha? That being the case, I don't see a damn thing wrong with Macross Zero.
  3. I just hope we get to see the SDF-1, and a VF-1 in the last episode.
  4. Well, it seems I'm not the only one here convinced that it can't all be summed up in another 30 min episode. The whole thing with Roy, he was still flying when DD shot Roy's engine, I didn't seem him come crashing down. As for the flying totem, I have no problem with it. Just like Kieth has said about the Protoculture mastering mechanical science...if they can make wings change shape (like in Plus), why not have some biological science thrown in? Again with what Keith said and the Zentradi ("huge humans").
  5. Capped from the ANBU/ANIMEONE version of Episode 2. It's the first mention of their Master/Apprentice relationship (much like the Dark Sith Lords). I didn't see that subbed version. As for the other copies...I must have a memory problem or something to not remember that.....
  6. I thought it was established since episode 2 that DD is Roy's Instructor. Hmmm...not really. I'm quite sure everything can be cleared up by the next episode. What else do we really need to know? What is the APHOS-1? How is Mao and Sara connected to it? (they are probably descendants of Rooy Kanu) How does Roy take on DD and save the day? (VF-1....w00ts!!) And lastly, what happens to all the characters by the end of Macross Zero 5 and how it ties in with SDF Macross. I'm quite sure they can manage those. But don't expect too much. I think they're gonna leave out some stuff for viewers to make their own guesses. I don't remember either of the characters coming straight out stating that DD is/was Roy's instructor though.
  7. I just saw the subbed version. ...For some reason I feel like there's still a lot to be explained...and with each episode being about 30 mins long, I'm not sure how they'll wrap everything up. It seems like there's an awful lot to wrap up. ...I think they should say "F making 5 episodes, lets make 6 insetad!" More detail/depth = $$$ I wasn't too surprised that DD was Roy's instructor at one pt in time.... I still don't see how they could possibly wrap everything up in the last 30 min episode...unless it were 45 to 60 min episode? o.O Bah...I can't wait for the next episode!
  8. I have a really poor quality version of the movie on VHS. I got the copy from someone on the old AFM forum. I forget his name.... Anyway, it's not worth your time to watch it, and this is coming from a Robotech (TMS) fan.
  9. Episode 4 can be found in this thread. As for episode 3, animesuki.com
  10. I d/l-ed the episode last night and I finally got around to watching it just now. Definitely a beautiful episode. There wasn't a whole lot of action, but there was some. I can't wait to see what becomes of the AFOS (or Aphos, whichever is the correct spelling)! Tis all I can really think of to say. Guess you could say the episode has me dumbfounded. I can't wait for the subs to come out for this episode! ...And for some reason, I can't help but think that there's going to be a lot of action in episode 5. Thoughts, opinions?
  11. !! I have to go buy Bloody Roar Extreme now!!!!
  12. Is it just me, or does it seem like it gets better every episode? Episode 4 looks like it's gonna 0wn! I can't wait for the subs! So was Episode 4 released?!
  13. I started this thread last night thinking I was going to get 2 or so replies. Came back this morning to see about 68 or so, heh. I read the entire thread; I didn't mean for there to be complaints. I just wanted to know why they were disabled. :/ I miss my custom title from the old board, tis why I asked in the first place. Anyway.... (Edited for grammar)
  14. Why yes, I would like one! One that would express my love for Macross II! Tis why I asked.
  15. To each his or her own.
  16. I could never follow that formula. Following that formula would have me watching crap like The Mask 2, Cheaper by the Dozen, New York Minute...need I go on? As for Riddick, I really have a hard time stomaching Vin Diesel, but the movie looks interesting enough to at least merit a rental. Lol, wasn't supposed to be taken seriously BUT...take a look at another example. Bad Santa. It looked funny from the trailers. I saw it and it turned out to be one of the lamest movies ever (again imo). I dunno. I'm just tired of these promising movies turning out crap...and all of these movies that ppl think will suck actually turning out good. It just amazes me. I mean what's wrong with that picture?
  17. I still have some of the comic books! Always liked the cartoon.
  18. You should see my formula then as to what's a good movie and what isn't. Here
  19. I'm sure this has been asked before, but why have the custom titles been disabled? Thnx.
  20. I've been hearing nothing but good things about this movie. This pleases me a lot! I can't wait to see it myself.
  21. I saw a trailer for it yesterday on the tube. I've always been a fan of Garfield...so I'll definitely go see this movie in the theaters. Here's the Official Site. Thoughts/opinions?
  22. From the recent trend of movies, I've created this "formula" on whether or not I should go see a movie (Doesn't work for all movies, but most). Promising movie trailer = Crappy movie "Horrible" movie trailer = Good (if not decent) movie Take Van Helsing for instance. It looked promising and yet it sucked. Terminator 3 looked like it would suck, but it turned out to be a good movie (imo anyway). Troy looked promising, and yet all I've been hearing are negative comments. So.... When I heard they were coming out with this movie, I was stoked. Then I saw the trailer and it looked kinda horrible (imo). Thefore I'm looking forward to seeing this movie!
  23. That's your girlfriend? I hope you don't mind me saying this but...hot, damn!
  24. What's it about? I've never heard of this movie.
