Do you have the numbers to back up this claim that it's a "major flop" and quotes from Kawamori that he thought "that Macross II...really really sucked"? As to why Macross II isn't canon...already been covered. All of these "it really sucks" and "they didn't like it" remarks shouldn't even be in these responses as an answer. They're just biased opinions...not facts. Just like me saying Macross II 0wnz! is not a fact but rather an opinion. There's no need for those comments.

I'm kicking myself in the ass right now (and have been for some time now) because I never grabbed a copy of the FX Perfect Edition DVD. Any updates as to where one could find a copy? I don't have any Region Free DVD players, so the official R2 release is out of the question for me. The NLA fansubs just don't cut it for me anymore...I want to cry!!! Thanks.

So you're gonna get your money back only to spend that plus $200 more for a paperweight? Why not just send in your 360 and get it repaired? I'm sure it's still under warranty. I've had mine for 3 months now and God only knows how many hours I've spent on it...yet it still runs perfectly fine. It's one of the older models too.

You must have been watching the filler crap. Naruto isn't all that bad if you've watched the manga-adapted anime...not the filler crap. I've said once and I'll say it again: Fillers - the worst idea/invention ever. Naruto is a lot better than DBZ...in terms of plot/story/animation/action/etc.

Haha, the game can be tough. The only Live games I have are Halo 2, Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, and Call of Duty 3. Ashmedai is my gametag; always looking for someone to game with. (Gaming by yourself is not that much fun if you ask me).

I dunno if you've found the answer to your question but I think the track is Mou-Ichido-Love You. It's the song Ishtar sings to her people at the end...that's the one you're looking for, right?. The very last song they play on MII is Promise. I forget the name of the song played before Promise. I have a question of my own! I've been listening to Dogfighter a lot lately...almost religiously. I haven't been able to find out who the guitarist is, nor who composed the track. Would anyone know who the guitarist is and who composed the track? Thanks!!!

The computer and electronics super geek superthread...
Oihan replied to EXO's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
If your computer (screen) is under warranty then by all means send it back in and get it replaced. As for screen protectors...never used 'em. -
I guess no one here is familiar with SD Project or Dattebayo then? Supposedly "Shippuuden" means 'hurricane.' Dunno if that's correct or not...anyway. As others have mentioned, it's just a 3 yr time jump with the anime being back on track with the manga. (Fillers - the worst idea/invention ever.) ...Episode three is out.

I may be going to "The Who" concert here in Reno.... I'll try to make it this time around if not. Edit: I will be going to "The Who" concert after all. Don't suppose you guys could push the date back by one day (joke)? I guess I'll have to catch you guys at another time.

Official Macross World Con 2007 Information Thread
Oihan replied to Mechamaniac's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I'd like to come, not sure if I'll be able to cause of work.... That's going to be one long ass drive for me (I'm up in Reno, NV). This is something too good to pass up though. Edit: Just thought about how I'd love to hear Mari Iijima sing "Angel's Paints" in person. -
I don't know how many of you watch Naruto, but the anime is back on track with the manga. The first (two?) Shippūden episode(s) came out on the 15th of this month. After watching the episode(s) I can already tell I'm hooked. I stopped watching Naruto after episode 135...so I dunno how bad the filler is/was...but this new episode makes Shippūden look promising (I haven't read the manga). I do have a question though.... As I was doing a search for the new episode I came across two fansubbers: Dattebayo and SD Project. Regarding fansubbing in general: who's subs are generally seen as more accurate...Dattebayo's or SD Project's?

I agree with you and others that the story in TV is much better...for it's more fleshed out and there's more to it...but the animation in DYRL? is just superb.

You guys got together again on GoW w/o ME? :/

The computer and electronics super geek superthread...

I just wanted to chime in about Vista. From my understanding, Vista is pretty much XP with a face-lift. The only real good thing about Vista is DirectX10...but there aren't any DirectX10 games out there so there really isn't a need to upgrade just yet. -
I voted for Do You Remember Love? because the detail in the animation is better than it is in TV. ...From the part where we see the Valkyries taking off at the start...the battle sequence where we first see Hikaru, Max, Kakizaki, and Roy...the battle sequence with the Destroids (I love the sound effects) all the way up to the haul breach...the battle sequence where Roy's drunk...all eye and ear candy!! The music and BGM...! Btw, anyone know where I can find the altered version of "Dogfighter" where drunken Roy comes to save Hikaru/Minmay and Hikaru yells "Sempai!"? Thanks.

Dattebayo I've been getting all of my fansubs from them.

Well, hopefully we can all get together again at some date and play some GoW. I missed the last chance. I've read that the Intercooler has been known to start fires.... How's it working out for you so far?

They're up to episode 115 now. Some pretty good stuff thus far.

Macross 25th Anniversary! New TV series coming!
Oihan replied to wolfx's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
If there is a new Macross series coming out I'd hope for it to be a TV series. I'd like something my brain could be completely immersed in (like Macross TV). If it is a new Macross series...my guess would be that it'd be a continuation from what happened in Macross Zero...but in a different time frame perhaps as a result of the events that took place in Zero. I mean, with the way Shin and Sara just disappeared like that with no explanation as to why they disappeared and/or where they went.... One of you might bring up the fact that we don't know what happened to Hikaru and Misa...but we do know that they took off into space on a colony mission; we don't get that with Shin and Sara. My two cents. -

I'm getting goose bumps...! -
I had to take care of a few things, that's why I wasn't able to make it. Hopefully I can make the next one.

Count me in! I've been checking my e-mail and so far no Halo beta e-mail yet. :/ I was hoping to see Crackdown as a demo on the marketplace but no such luck (I haven't checked recently however)...so I don't want to spend $60 on a game I may or may not hate.

I just finished watching the entire series in one sitting. I love the opening...the art...the song ("Lilium")! A very 'adult' anime.... The first few episodes were great; then a little before half way through the series the dialogue got worse (in a couple episodes); then the last several episodes were great once again. The anime is very colorful too.... Overall, I really liked it. My two cents.

So Nov 2006 and newer models should have the smaller CPU? I have a 360 as well, but I think it was made before then. There have been a few instances where my 360 would freeze...but that's only been in a few demos that I've played...probably because of over heating (no problem with GoW though). I probably do have the older/bigger chip. Other than that though I haven't had any real problems with mine. With the way things are looking now with the PS3, I don't think I'll be getting one for at least 3 to 5 years...if I do ever get one. There will have to be some 'must buy' game (like Halo 3 on the 360) on the PS3 if I were to buy one.

Sure it's a bit of a stretch, but it works. Unless you'd define espionage as something else....like an art? The art of spying....the science of spying....whatever. It is a bit of a stretch, but I thought it was worthy enough to be discussed on this forum. Those of you haven't seen the movie are missing out. Not that you'd care, but I don't think I'll ever take you or any of your posts seriously again.... I'll probably just skip your posts...not that you'd care. There's no sense in you replying to this thread or my response if you have nothing of worth to add...unless you don't care to waste your time and mine. (I love the ignore feature) Thanks.
