I realize this is mainly a MayN thread, but am I the only one that thinks Maaya Sakamoto should have been as big as MayN? I mean, she's a little older, but her voice is AMAZING! Just listen to Triangular as an example....a frakking AMAZING song!!!! I've always loved Maaya's songs and feel she had the potential to be a HUGE superstar, so what happened? Could riding on the coat tails of Yoko Kanno have hurt her career somewhat?

It seems like this will eventually be a double dip situation where they will re-release an extended directors cut later on. Do you think it worth buying Prometheus on BluRay now, or wait for the inevitable re-release? In particular, are the making of and other bonus features on this release worth watching?

Haven't been keeping up with YK news lately so just wondering what she's been up to? Has she done any soundtracks lately? If so are they any good? I still insist that Macross Plus is by far her best work. Still holds up to this day and my God, the instrumental Voices is still simply breathtaking!!!

Had the honor of meeting and talking to this iconic legend at AX. Will surely be missed. RIP

Hi guys. Been watching Voltron for the first time in over 25 years on dvd lately. Still holds up today as a really good cartoon/anime. Just wondering a few things.... 1)Do you guys consider Voltron an anime or an 80's cartoon? 2)Was it actually released in Japan first as an anime TV series, or was it produced specifically for the US cartoon market? 3)Who was the character designer of the show? They look strikingly similar to the designs from Southern Cross and Mospeada(Robotech). Same guy? 4)Any of the English VAs the same ones from Robotech? A couple of them sound familiar. Also Optimus Prime from OG TF does the intro and other small parts in the show. Cool. 5)Which do you prefer....Voltron or Mazinger Z?

But they're in Japanese with no subtitles Damn. I thought I was getting the English Tranzor Z cartoons, not this Is there a set of english SRT sub files for Mazinger Z? If so, can they be applied and watched in a software media player like MPC or VLC?

I've been wanting to see a true feature length documentary on the making of Macross for so many years. This is better than the DYRL BluRay in my opinion. This SHOWS and TELLS you how it all got started and what went on behind the scenes of creating this masterpiece. Please upload and sub it! I will honestly donate $30 if you do.

Movie gets a solid A+ from me. It's Ridley's best movie since Alien, and absolutely destroys that abomination known as The Avengers. The BluRay will mine day ONE.
