  1. Hi everyone! I submit, for your consideration, my proposal to re-issue my 1/48 BUSTER resin kit (Mospeada Armo-Soldier doppleganger.) I will be making some minor cosmetic improvements to the neck as well as including decals this time around. There may also be a surprise included, just because. I'm looking for 10 orders to help bring this to fruition. As per with the original issue, the kit will include all three head options. Base price is $300 CAD (about $230 USD) -$338 CAD shipped anywhere in Canada or the US -$358 CAD shipped internationally by Small Packet Air For those asking why they should get this in stead of the Evolution Toy, or any other toy variant, I will let photos speak for themselves.
  2. Re-issues of the Imai 1/15 plastic kits.
  3. Or... The ghost of Miyagi-san comes back and lightsaber duels with Johnny, kicking his a$$ from beyond! Daniel-san, show me lightsaber-on/lightsaber-off!
  4. The Aventador bumper parts shown above are for the LP-750-4 SV. I aim to modify an existing 1/8 LP-700-4 model to SV specs. The challenge resides not only with the fabrication (or enlargement) of the updated SV bodywork, but I would then have to mate them to the existing 1/8 kit parts, which involves grinding metal. I can definitely do this the old fashioned way, but I had hoped (perhaps mistakenly) that digital modeling would be a more efficient path. Considering the cost of the digital scanning I was quoted and the time/cost of modifying the digital assets, it'll be faster (and cheaper) for me to do everything by hand.
  5. I require a digital version of the parts. The parts in question have pretty complex geometry, and while I could sculpt these by hand, I'd like to simplify as much of the job as possible. Also, I'd like to be able to simply 3D print the parts needed, because there may be some slight shrinkage during the molding/casting process I'd like to avoid. Bumper (front & rear) + diffuser from a 1/24 Lamborghini that need to be digitized and upscaled to 1/8.
  6. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there would have a means of scanning and digitizing physical model parts? The pieces in question are simple plastic model kit parts from 2pc dies, no crazy undercuts. I can provide pics of the parts if needed. Thanks in advance!
  7. Couldn't agree more. That being said I'm going to give this other fellow a chance, just because I think it's bad form to poo-poo on a movie before I actually see it. I would like to say this about the new trailer, though: judging from the immaculate condition of the Falcon's corridors, I must rightfully conclude than Han and Chewie are absolute slobs!
  8. You can use a Gundam paint marker, or a regular red marker, both will do nicely. The paint in the Gundam marker might stiffen the fabric a bit, which may not be a bad thing. While you're at it, might as well use black from the belt downward to more accurately color the undergarment. great work, guys!
  9. Which would make more sense, anyway.
  10. As was stated above, those are re-pops of the Imai tooled kit.
  11. You're being generous! Even the movie-version SDF-1 cruiser that Hasegawa did looks stiff and lacks the dynamism of the line-art. Frankly, I don't know who was in charge of the Hase SDF-1 projects, but when even the 35 year-old ARII and IMAI kits have better proportions, I think it's safe to say that they're turds with fine details slapped on top. See for yourselves how the Storm Attackers compare to the line-art:Now have a look at the Imai 1/5000 cruiser fortress. Hasegawa would have done well to copy that kit and simply refine the details. Now don't get me wrong, I think their aircraft kits are the bee's knees! But for some reason, they dropped the ball rather spectacularly on the SDF-1 kits.
  12. I think it's fair to say that interest on the project has stalled. I'll try for a revival in late March when tax refund time rolls around.
  13. I would recommend the matt overcoat, if only to guard the seemingly cheap plastic from yellowing. Just be sure to mask the canopy first!
  14. I wonder if any of these third-party companies will ever take some of the cooler Master Grade kits and scale them up to 1/60?
  15. What's even more bizarre is the box looks more like a model kit 2-piece type; not the typical Gakken packaging. I don't think it's a fake, simply because of the costs associated with such an endeavour. I'm wondering if it's either very early or post-Mospeada packaging made to burn-off excess toy stock in other Asian markets.
  16. If you think the EX-S is an impressive kit, then whatever you do, don't watch this video! The Deep Striker looks positively quaint by comparison.
  17. New Deep Striker footage! The Shoulder parts are indeed new tooling, as is the head and chest. There is hope after all!
  18. While we have yet to see what the final "original" Falcon will look like, I personally think whoever made this kit nailed it right on the head in terms of what a "stock" YT freighter should look like. About the only thing I'd do differently is remove the visible panel lines for the rectenna mount and the opening on the opposite side of the jaw box. Other than that it's perfect!
  19. Which is what these collector toys are all about: looks and detail over sturdiness.
  20. *Interest quickly evaporates* It's quite odd that Bandai would opt to re-use parts from a 15 year-old kit that way. Particularly as the parts of the S/EX-S that would benefit most from an upgrade are the head and shoulders--the very parts that carry over to the Deep Striker.
