The arms are already designed to be poseable; all the major arm joints move on the kit

Hey everyone. If it seems to those of you waiting for your kits that it's taking forever... It's because it is. I'm still waiting on the decals before I begin to ship, and I have about 30 models just packed and waiting. Anyhoo, I just wanted to let everyone know that all is going very well otherwise, and I will send your models out the very instand the decals arrive. My sincerest apologies for the delay.

Roughly 16.5cm to the top of the vertical missile container on the right shoulder.

Hey guys! First things first: happy and prosperous new year to all of you. I'm now officially back-to-work casting Tomahawks after a much-needed break; I'm just about halfway through the run, and will be re-molding before the week is out.

Hey guys. I wouldn't sweat the critiques too much: they come with the territory, and I've been in the biz long enough to know that even your most valiant and well thought-out efforts will draw criticism at some point. I came to the realization long ago that when I'm not doing contract work, the number one person that needed to be satisfied with my stuff above all would be me. For what it's worth, there seems to be an idea floating-around that I'm "bothering" myself to make these models. Nothing could be further from the truth: compared to the contract work I do, this is heaven. No contracts to sign, no red tape, no bs politics to contend with, no last-minute "we want to change everything" memorandums. When I sculpt these models, I can really pour my heart into them and just have fun. I'm sure Cobywan and several others can attest to the sometimes not-so-pleasant aspects of big contract work too

Hi RT. I'll most likely be casting into January, since it's a long process. If you'd like me to set one aside for you, just LMK.

The model was constructed with diagrams contained in Perfect Memory; front, side, and back views like the one below. The perspective shots have considerable "distortions", and vary greatly from one to another, so those were just used for detailing.

Has anyone else noticed that the newest pic of Megatron (Dengeki?) has a different head sculpt? Personally, I prefer the blockier version shown in the first couple pics... It's slated for release in late March, so there's still time for them to fix a few things. Also, I think they could forego the P-38 engraving on the slide and replace it with a nice, raised, decepticon logo... But that's just me -

I think that what they've done so far is splendid work, considering the logistical difficulties of making such a transforming toy; there's only so much they can do without anime magic. My mind is at ease for the tooling, now we just have to worry about the colors... Watch them go and make the 1st run pink and burple -

Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, the gun mode doesn't really matter to me, I think that the general consensus is that the bot mode is the real character. Having said that, I would even be ok with a more "cartoony" gun, as opposed to a realistic P-38. I mean, the gun looked kinda chunky and oddly-proportioned in the animation anyway. Here's a pic I found on another forum that I think looks quite good, and would also allow for more "cartoon accurate" legs in bot mode -

Hi Guppy. Yes, it's totally feasible in fact. The prototype shown seems to be using a similar technique for the lower leg, though I feel it could've been better executed. Any clue when this is supposed to hit the market? -

I agree Eriku. I'm actually surprised that no scumbag has tried to paint the nozzle of their real piece fluo to pass for a toy. As for Megatron, if that is indeed an official mockup photo, I like it! I was rather hoping he might have been born from a MR Desert Eagle in this incarnation, but so long as the boy form looks right, I'm there -

The truck has RDF printed on it. BURN IT BUUURN IIIIT!!!! But seriously, he left out the absolute KOOLest part of all, the skull & crossbones. This doesn't deserve to be made in 1/72 scale

Yup, the right shoulder pod holds 6 missiles which look kinda similar to the Phalanx missiles, but with larger fins and I think an extended nosecone. I'll be working closely with my Perfect Memory book, as I usually do

Crack AND crystal meth... It adds flavor! I'll be posting the first pics next week in my usual manner; keep an eye on the Samurai Monkey forums. The detail will be quite similar to what was done on the Phalanx. Incidentally, is the large square thingamabob on the Tomahawk's right shoulder a spotlight? Just checking, as my reference material is all in japanese, and I want to do things right.
