  1. That or Kawamori has gone totaly howard hughs senile and is completely off his rocker It happens LoL As for Hikaru and misa etc, i don't think their post story needs an entire series but it would be nice to hear some refferences as to where they went and what they found. Like in M7, if max was like "Well atleast we didn't end up running in to another zentradi fleet like Hikaru and Misa did on the megaroad 1 expedition." It's cool when there are tie ins between seperate stories going on. Like when the M7 went to hook up with M5 which was entirely made up of zentradi. That would have been a cool story to follow but I don't think it could have made a series. It did however give us enough info to speculate which is cool.
  2. This is turning in to a "Best valkyrie" poll hehe. Totaly true. Roy was just cool. And as your picture shows, the skull squadron was derived from the real Jolly Roger squadron which is what hooked me in the first place.
  3. Hehe guess we'll never know until Isamu gets in a YF-21 Plus Isamu survived the missile tests by sheer disreguard for his saftey or his planes. That booster pack almost took the plane with it when it tore off. hehe Guld however dodged everything nice and smoothly without having to scream at the top of his lungs or crush the air out of his lungs due to G-forces. Then again, if the roles were reversed I doubt Isamu could even fly a YF-21 based on his imaturity and reckless behavior. He'd never be able to concentrate hard enough to fly it.
  4. Ahhh haha I totaly forgot about that crap. That's another reason he sucks hehe
  5. I agree. The Yf-21 looked to me to be the superior plane. If Guld wasn't a head case I think the YF-21 clearly outclassed the YF-19. Even when Guld lost it and had to be rescued by isamu he could have taken control of the physical controls.
  6. I just checked my versions and I couldn't hear any "stock" sounds. They were exactly the same. P.S. the ADV set is not 200$. It's around 80$. :-P
  7. This is true. But even FOCKER was killed by a lucky shot
  8. Yup. There it is. "Studio Nue '92". Atleast the picture is there. Could care less about the stats or story. It's original artwork.
  9. The animation is fine. The story is what matters
  10. Ummm, have you ever seen the ADV version? They didn't change the sounds or the music or the names and it's the most accurate translation yet. Listen to the comentary and click around with your dvd players audio button and you can switch between each version.
  11. Haha that or studio nue is just straight up insane. Or at the very least, senile.
  12. Roy probably was the best till he died. He died right when max really started to shine so who knows hehe. Max and Hikaru both learned from Fokker. Was it in Robotech or Macross or both when Max used the "Fokker Fake" that they learned in flight training? I can't remember at the moment.
  13. True not every system is combat tested but the systems that are ready for full production are tested in combat. I've seen it. The stryker and predator drones were the most noticable and both underwent some design changes before they went gold. LoL pretty much everything in ww1 was a prototype. that's what made it so bloody and interesting hehe
  14. Haha yea, Veffidas was my favorite character. Not cause of her roll or anything. She was just cool I like seeing how full blood zentraedi and humans interact with eachother. It's comical
  15. Do a google search for Maverick Destroid and the second result has a cached copy of the site *It's gone now* with a pic on it. Looks fan drawn though. Remember to click the "cache" option from the google results to see it
  16. Wha? True. At the beginning of the Afghanistan/Iraq offensives the FX-22 was used in combat even though it was still prototype. It didn't become the f-22 raptor until it was in full service production. Now it has replaced almost all of the US fighter-bombers and that was just over 3 years of combat tests. Same goes for the Stryker vehicle and probably a whole bunch of stuff we've never seen. Only real combat can prove a prototypes worth
  17. Haha it can follow the story of hikaru and misa who have started a travelling space band and travel in a space ship shaped like a saratoga
  18. I agree. And while the Macross was on it's way home from Pluto space, we really didn't get too much information on what was going on back on Earth. I'm sure the UNG as well as local earth governments were scrambling to get their hands on anything they could. Especially while the Vrlitwhai scout fleet was still in orbit after the Macross folded out. I wouldn't be suprised if prototype blueprints for all sorts of mecha were sold off or outsourced to private companies as well so there could have been all sorts of stuff we didn't get to see. Maybe the next macross series or movie will take place on earth during that time period
  19. Haha that is cool. Make it fit on your arm and when it is completed, go thrust it through someones torso
  20. I can't stand the prick
  21. The ADV Macross set includes the japanese version with subtitles on the discs. The first volume in the set even includes the first episode with the Robotech cast doing the voice overs. Was weird but ok. Seriously though, as an English speaker, I'd watch the dubbed version of SDFM. Exact translations don't always make sense to alot of westerners and you can watch it while doing other things *like posting on these boards* without missing anything. After a hard days work I don't like to read my television set. If I did I'd get a book That's the biggest bunch of crap I've ever heard. Half the characters in the show aren't even Japanese!
  22. Just put all of the episodes on a DVD. There's your movie
  23. Robotech and Macross wouldn't match up exactly. What would you do about Robotech Episode 29 entitled "Robotech Masters" that contains Southern Cross footage?
  24. I agree that Macross 7 is a little on the cheese side and alot of it reminded me of Gundam but it was a story that had to be told. You can't go wrong with max and millia and M7 gave the viewers a much more broad view of the post-space war 1 era of colonization and of the macross galaxy as a whole. It sets a good stage for future macross projects. We know that there's tons of macross colony fleets heading to all reaches of the galaxy. They could make a series about any of those fleets and it would be interesting at the very least
