What? The dubbing was perfect in ADV and was even voiced by original cast members. If you speak english get the ADV set. If you like to read books get the animego version. And the cash factor? I found the entire ADV set for under 50$.

In 1985 there was a quick "afterschool cartoon" look in to the making of robotech right before a commercial break and I learned about the 3 japanese shows.

Maybe not in Frontier but i'd like to see an OVA or something about the skull squadron and what it's been doing in the "Future"

As far as I know there is no name for the city. The city and island are the same sort of like Key West. Key west is the name of the island and the city there. hehe I did however hear a rumour along time ago about the city being called "Megaroad City" but that could just be hearsay.

LoL it doesn't matter how the name SOUNDS. Spelling is spelling. And Exsedol isn't some japanese version of Exedore. His name is Exsedol. That's Zentran. I think to many people have been watching that Fan Subbed version of Macross 7 where they call them Exedore and Miria and thought those were the official subs

LoL they aren't saying Britai, they are saying Vrlitwhai. It SOUNDS like breetai which is why he was named that in Robotech. It's spelt Vrlitwhai and is pronounced "Vritai" which can sound like Britai.

80's animation is what makes macross so nastalgic. They tried remaking the transformers with the new style look like every cartoon looks nowadays and it sucked ass.

I don't care if it's a tv show about a dog taking a dump, if it's called macross I'm a fan. That being said, SDF:M is the best and will always be the best. All the newer movies and shows are still packed with coolness but they went in a direction I'm starting to find annoying. No. He had written the entire story before he made any of the movies. Magic has no place in Macross. In the original Macross days we had talking transforming robots and flying lions that joined to create a giant robot. We chose Macross because it was realistic and serious.

In DYRL the zentran and meltran see Culture as a sort of social disease. It's more evident in Macross 2 which is a sort of sequel to DYRL where Culture is a weapon.

Robotech is already in the works by warner brothers under toby mcguiers production company. There's a thread around here somewhere about it. Macross the live action movie could never happen unless the evil overlords which are in charge of harmony gold are taken down.
