Wow, last night was pretty damn good. Roslin is becoming quite the bulldog in her job...kudos! And I loved Starbuck's what we do with traitors line with the wink! And Helo: what can I say..."Run, Helo, Run!!"

The US set was rumored for December but now is leaning towards July since the UK set will be out soon. The UK set has 5.1 sound and the deleted scenes that are on SCi-Fi's website, and of course is PAL R2. And of course, the different intro music. The US set, while no details have been officially released, is expected to contain the same, plus commentary, some features either the lowdown that ran on TV, or the many shorts that have appeared on Sci -Fi's website and other extras...it is also rumored the deleted scenes will be re-edited into the shows as most were only cut for time constraints. Those who listened to the Podcast commentary by Ron Moore are hoping they will be included as commentary for those eps too. Like the mini series, the US one will benefit from the time. But nothing is set in stone for the R1 release yet.

Well, the only reason they were nice and tidy in the mini was that they were painted up to be sitting in a museum...much like a vintage car or plane would be today. Some people I know who've seen only the shots of the "pristine" looking Vipers without watching it asked me about that and when they finally saw the mini...went..."OH!!!...Now that makes sense!"

Someone pointed me to this webpage, of lil tiny pewter miniatures that this guy makes that are made for those table top games. He has the original series Galactica and Cylon Basestars and Raiders as well as the new show's Viper's , MKVII's and reimagined Galactica...plus the Raider from the video game. Kinda cool if you're into that thing. Galactica Minis He makes quite a bit of diff types of stuff for all those games.

In Epsiode 5, it's clearly stated that Lee's MKVII gets messed up looking for Kara, along with many more MK II's. Apollo was harping Tyrol about it, and Tyrol responded by saying (at the time), that there were 13 Vipers down because of that gook they were flying in plus his MKVII. He's flying the MKII because that's all they got right now. I'm sure he'd prefer his own plane.

Knight Rider was cool...it had a black Trans Am without the screaming chicken.

There is one full scale mock up of the MK VII, and 2 mock ups of the MK II, according to the Series lowdown that aired before the series.

Sci Fi's website has a section under the Ships Gallery for a "CAG's Roster" which is updated every so often, corresponding to the eps featuring the viper's lost or damaged. After Ep 10, they are down to: Vipers in Service: 12 Down for repairs : 23 (many, including Apollo's MK VII were messed up looking for Kara in Ep. 5 flying in that gook atmosphere) Pilots on Duty: 21 Trainees: 5 They had 39 Vipers left in Ep 5 total. So...they lost 4 in Ep 10(only 4?). They never said how many actual MKVII's were left aboard, only that one squadron (20 in their world according to some sites) of MKII's from the mini series that were in the museum. I suppose Hot Dog and Kat will be the "background pilots" for now. Hey, Chuckles was Kakizaki!! Too bad we didn't get to see a couple more glimpses of him before he bought the farm, other than Ep 4. EDIT: Opus, you beat me to it!

He's sol then. I DVR'd and DVD recorded everything so far. Only 3 more eps to go...and I hope the US Box set comes out with more extras than the UK one.

You should tell him just start with the mini series DVD and give him a copy of your recorded episodes to watch...

Tonight was awesome...only thing was the intro theme...what was that? It wasn't the UK theme, our US theme, it was some weird sounding edit. Damn, Zoic knows their stuff. Loved the battle.

Tonight's episode airs 30 mins later than usual, so adjust accordingly. The recast after will be one hour later than usual. This is supposed to be one action packed space battles galore episode. Also, the UK DVD S1 has gotten some reviews with the only the deleted scenes being extras, most likely because of time restraints. US release hopefully gets that and the features/commentaries. The UK release was confirmed having 5.1 sound and well...not much else other than it having the UK theme. Guess they will keep the openings separate.

Haven't watched or bought any anime in weeks. But I have a Panasonic 50" LCD RPTV ...16:9 Widescreen... DYRL on 50" LCD I took these crappy pics in a rush a few months ago.

This was a great series that never gets the respect it deserves. I'm still pissed at Fox for bailing on it! Of course, they're also bailing on "Arrested Development" and that's another great show! But that's not sci-fi, so ignore my small rant and just watch "Firefly" and its movie that should be coming out soon, "Serenity". I'll be there when it opens in September.

I saw the movie...never seen the show except for bits and pieces. Saw Atlantis once. Couldn't get into it.

Who cares? It's a message board. You'll find people with same tastes and some who hate yours. That's life. Granted, some topics have more opponents than others...but hey...who cares? If I like something someone else doesn't, I dont give a rat's ass if they don't like it. But I'm glad I don't like Trek.

Played the Xbox demo...seemed kinda cool. If the ending is worse than Halo 2, then that's a baaaaad sign.
