Good article. Sure it's skipp'n on the details, but who wants to get fired over something like that!!! But what was great about it is that it's showing that the PS3 is no-where near ready for a winter 06 or spring 07 release date and throughly debunking 90% of Sony's claims of being a true next-gen machine. Even if everything about it is true, the author made it sound as though he has been the first to truly see any PS3 gameplay or info (Medal of Honor and Fight Night from EA have been seen from journalists already). Not to mention the 'conclusion' about the hardware basing it upon a dev kit. Guessing launch titles will look as good as DOA4 and Gears of War...well, maybe it's just me but those are pretty two different looking titles, one more complex artistically than the other. Still, it's entertaining to read, even though it comes from Kikizo.

Well, the show is mainly a drama with a sci fi backdrop and the focus of the show are the people and their problems. Honestly, I'd rather have this method rather than the opposite with the sci fi "story" being more the focus. I've seen glitzy special effects and space war stories all too much. The old show focused on the "threat" of the Cylons nearly every week....and they defeated them every week. Kinda takes the whole "threat" away from them. Do we need to hear them say, "we're looking for Earth" every episode too? I thought that much could be inferred that they are trying to get there and it will take awhile. Besides, wasn't Adama asking Sharon about routes through the stars on a map...which would suggest that they are trying to get to the star clusters and the lagoon nebula which are their clues as to where it is? Too dark..lose the viewer base...I don't think so. The show has always been dark. And besides the clunker 'Black Market', the show has stayed to the roots of it being a cut above drama in space and not the other way around. The only one I see that was really off base for the show was Black Market. Stumbling a little compared to Season 1? Perhaps. But people in this very thread said the same thing about season one before episode 10, 12, and 13.

Looks nice...I think a more worn/weathered MKII would be nicer than the mini-series museum state ones.

I'd like to know which dev kit they were "viewing" unfinished games on. Awfully long article for no real "info". Still, it's more entertaining than the Josh blog.

Technically you have the 1st episodes of season one. As mentioned, there was a mini series that started it all off. It would go: Mini series 33 Water Bastille Day Act of Contrition...etc etc.

If I wanted the old show, I'd watch the old show. Besides, there was only one season to resemble anyways.

Only in the minds of TOS lovers. The original writers of that episode (You Can't Go Home) were surprised at the reference having not seen that '80 episode. Act of Contrition I would say had nothing in common with that Galactica 80 episode except showing her plummeting to the planet she would be stuck on.

Its my understanding that that's long past. He's actually done a sit down and had been a part of an interview with Katee Sackhoff (new Starbuck). You can find pictures of the two of them smoking cigars together online. Also, I am fairly certain that it was made public that at one point they had Dirk slated to play the Cylon God, but instead went with the baby angle on Kobol. 366647[/snapback] If it was the "Starbucks at Starbuck's" thing back a couple years ago, Sackhoff mentioned in a recent interview that Benedict was nice on camera but off he kept bad mouthing them and the new show. Unless they got together again to smoke cigars, that was the only time I had heard of them together for the promo.
