  1. I have one of those too...those pics look familiar. Ro...bo...?
  2. I like how it retains the look and feel of the first movie...more CGI, but with Spiderman, it doesn't look as fake as say, the Hulk. Doc Oct looks way better than the Green Goblin outfit they had in the first.
  3. I enjoyed the first, and this one looks good. I'll see it.
  4. Sunwards. I remember the Strike 1/60 pics being up there. www.sunwards.jp It is of course, no longer there...unless you look at the archived pages.
  5. I was listening to an 80's station on the net a couple hours ago and they played that too...whoah.
  6. The extras are: Audio commentary with the director of photography. theatrical trailers and tv spots If you get the limited edition, it includes a bonus disc which has: an interview with assoiciate producer Lloyd Kaufman An interview with the Jolly Rogers F-14 sqaudron (31 minutes!) Posters and still galleries A Kirk Douglas bio The Zero Pilot Journal(the ones that flew the makeshift zeros in the film) for your DVD rom The interviews with VF-84 is worth the limited set alone.
  7. R-Type Final had 3D graphics but 2D Gameplay. Gradius V is the same. SFIII is rumored to be coming out with the Anniversary SF2, so it's a "bundle". Same as any collections or bundles. Seems like(and note that it seems )like that is Sony's MO. Very few 2D games squeak by, and when they do, it is usually part of a collection or bundle(Midway compilations, Namco museums, KOF 2000 & 2001, etc)...Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and Cap vs SNK2 got by, by I wonder if the 3D Backgrounds were good enough for Sony in the US. Sony has played and catered to the gaming public very well overall, arguably better than Nintendo and Sega ever did. They did their homework and listened in the beginning. They brought RPG's over. They had the image and catered to the older gamers. They weren't perfect(Remember Polygon man? Sofia as a "spokesperson") but, they did it. No one has done it better than Sony has the last 9 years. Don't get me wrong, because I love Sega, and was sorry to see them get out of the hardware business but, the 32X was shooting themselves in the foot, and the Saturn was never marketed correctly...the surprise launch of the Saturn left many retailers out in the cold, and as such, never carried Sega's Saturn...KB Toys was one...no Saturns there. They didn't bring over the good games...when they did, they didn't market them. NiGHTS into Dreams anyone?(one of the best games for the Saturn, and they never really pushed it). Nintendo's expensive cart format and stiffness was their mistake. Had the N64 been a CD Rom, they may have won, because the cart format was too expensive for 3rd parties...Square jumped into Sony's bed right from the start. Microsoft is the underdog with billions in the bank...so while they may never be number one in the console business, they may just be there always. Unless Sony severely drops the ball, they will likely be number one in the next round too.
  8. Interesting batmobile...guess the SUV craze hits hollywood too.
  9. Blue Underground gets 5 stars from me for releasing this...my old VHS tape has finally been tossed. The lenticular cover from the limited ones are pretty cool too.
  10. I was wondering about that patch too. I'm still debating whether to shell out for the 2 disc set for the DTS disc.
  11. I read about that in Combat Aircraft magazine a lil while ago...isn't it because F-117's are going to be used during day missions too now? The black was mainly because of the night missions I believe.
  12. Played the demo and was not impressed. The only thing cool is Jet Li.
  13. Yes, I think that would work out nicely. For Asuka, some hapa chick. And Shinji, well, the world is in no shortage of whiny angst filled teen boys. I think a no name cast would work out better for this film, and considering it is a long ways away, they can keep their eye out on young actors that may just fit in with the role by the time filming begins. Another thing: people are upset at the concept art of the characters. This is just that: art that someone drew(who doesn't draw anime). It doesn't mean they will look like that in the film. I didn't get why people were upset at the concept art...if they were anime drawn people would be happy...but no one looks like that in real life. I still have doubts as to whether Eva can be done justice in live action but, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't soil the name of it. :cough...Street Fighter....Van Damme...Capcom, what the hell?
  14. Except that in real life, colored hair looks damn cheesy and weird. If anything, the albino look with red eyes would be enough for me...there is no way the movie will mimic the anime in everything and it really shouldn't...otherwise, you could just watch the anime. The trick is for them to make a movie that will appeal to those who lie the anime without upsetting them (hard), as well as make something that the casual movie goer might like without "getting into it"(even harder).
  15. I'd be happy enough with this Hori/Flightmaster one. On that note, has anyone tried the Logitech one?
  16. Hey, if ya don't like console flight games, don't play 'em. But a lot of people do enjoy them and hence, the excitement over AC5.
  17. I still have my copy and 2 Mad Catz lightguns. Nothing like playing a 2 player game with the John Woo style movie look!
  18. Of course, how could I forget that.
  19. Soul Calibur Resident Evil: code Veronica Crazy Taxi Grandia II Starlancer Bangai O Ikaruga (import) Skies of Arcadia Typing of the Dead Samba de Amigo (with maracas) Evangelion typing (import; nothing special...but kinda cool) SFIII 3rd Strike KOF: Dream Match 1999 Virtua Tennis Space Channel 5 Shenmue Chu Chu Rocket Garou: Mark of the Wolves Sonic Adventure 2 Birthday Pack (import: how can you not get this?) oh so many imports....
  20. Better grab it before they're all gone - the 2 disc limited edition are serially numbered so chances are they only get this 1 production run. The limited editions are $22 at Suncoast...$16 for the regular ones. Limited edition rules all...love that Katherine Ross story by the Jolly Rogers!!
  21. Definitely the coolest April Fools Day Joke I've seen. I especially liked the cast list.
  22. This DVD set is awesome. When I mentioed it to my father, he remembered the movie and wants a copy now too! It makes me want to watch more aviation movies again.
  23. Yeah, I remember that...it's pretty good.
