Update on my recent purchase of the 1/2000 scale macross last week, 99% done, just need 01, 02 decals and white on ARMD landing strip. The 1/3000 scale macross doesn't compare to the 1/2000 scale! so happy i pulled the trigger on it!

no stress marks on mine. plus mine is staying in battroid mode.

i think i bit off more than i could chew......i've only put together like 10 models in my life. My Holy Grail of macross toys! Ill have it done in two to three weeks(hopefully)

Just got the shipping email, saying that because of the high value of the item they are declaring full value with full insurance. So declaring full value of the item is it going to affect customs?

So shipping for the 1/2000 SDF-1 came to 8,900 yen so about $87 to get it shipped to US by EMS, I heard it weighs about 15 pounds. I don't care I'm just excited that I finally found this kit at a decent price!

New at HLJ it was 200000 yen and last time I saw it for sale was a BBTS for $2500us, so 160,000 yen plus shipping for this awesome kit I couldn't pass it up!

Yea it's wierd that the super parts/ghost set are so expensive now, seeing how the RVF seems to be going low on the secondary market.I wonder if not alot of people preorder them and now are rushing to get them.

I do need to get a 2nd set, but are they reproducing them again or selling left over stock? Edit: lottery based welp there goes me getting another

I don't recall the yf-25 being flown in the Frontier tv series, but it was shown in the last Frontier movie and in Macross R. I'm actually not sure if the lance is a gun or not.

I really hope bandai/Tamashii make the Paladin Packs for the YF-25!

I thought retail for the YF-30 is or around 20000¥, the 10-20% discount is a preorder bonus.

That was you who snagged it, I was serously going to buy it, but I had yf-30 on my mind and put it on the back burner, good catch!

So I was able to get 2 preorders in, one at cd japan and the other at nippon yasan. At amiami I was there right at 12:00 or 12:01 and got the add to cart button, pressed it and the next window said sold out, kept refreshing till about 12:04 then got another at to cart button but after I pressed it it said server timed out, after that my middle finger was extended at the screen for about 10 min. Then check the usual spots and nothing, then I checked cd japan they had preorders open till about 12:40 ish snagged one but almost at retail at 20000 yen, whatever I didnt care I wanted one and got one, then I went off to watch a movie and after just by chance I checked nippon yasan at about 3:00am and PO where open so I snagged another one at $188.28 and it seem to be the last one. Wierd it seems the price ths morning is $187.62 at NY So I hope you guys had some luck getting yours!

I don't understand what exactly happened, but I hope your valks ok. So when I was transforming the 19 back to fighter mode I was pulling up the chest from the nose and was so tight that my finger slipped and got sliced open from one of the flaps under the nose that folds in. It now has a stress mark in that flap but at least it's not broken or noticeable, you have to really look close to see it. As for tightening the feet what you do is extend the feet out so you can see the screws on back of the ankles and on the 2 inside the feet area. You can tighten the ones on the top of the ankle just fine with a Phillips head screw driver. The feet however are harder to get to, look on bottom of the feet and unscrew each foot then you can take off the "foot covers" to make the ankle screws more assessable. Then just tighten the screws and replace the feet. This worked for me, but if you really want to tighten the ankles your going to have to go one step further and knock out 2 pins in the foot to fully take apart the feet and apply glue or whatever on the ball joint to add friction.

If it has changes from the yamato one i might get it, but if it is exactly the same repackaged as an Arcadia ill skip it.
