hi all, this is the second resin kit from macross II OVA. this valkyrie II VF-2SS which was piloted by ace captain nexx would be off white with some blue stripes. this is a 1/72 scale recast kit bought from e2046 last year.

hi all, it's been a while since i built any model kit. as a starter for this new year, these are sort of a WIP for the macross II: valkyrie II VF-2SS which was piloted by ace caption sylvie gena during the lunar festival air show. the colour should be red with some white stripes. this is a 1/72 scale recast kit bought from hobby fan last year. here r some pics of the WIP. the intake and exhaust wasn't deep enough for the kit so i decide to drill some holes using drill bits, and did some filing to match the rectangular shape of the vents similar situation here, drill and file any comments, suggestions, tips or whatsoever r most welcome......thanks for looking

yes sir, modeling is a dying art....even here in malaysia most of the local hobby shop i knew closed.....have to opt. for online ordering i did use the tamiya weathering powder abit....true it works better over a flat coat, but most of it i use a black charcoal powder....similar to your method. i've read some tutorials over the internet recently and found out some of them used something called pigment powder.....don't know what is it but will find out more, the result really is superb though ....

marcion, after all the decals being applied, wud it still be transformable? -
the main body blue is a combination of tamiya xf-8 flat blue + xf-18 medium blue + xf-50 field blue with mix ratio 5:5:3 respectively for the yellowish tint at the leg armor pack i did mix tamiya xf-3 flat yellow + tamiya xf-1 flat black + tamiya x-19 smoke with mix ration 3:1:5 respectively for the overal color of the superpack is mixture of tamiya xf-20 medium grey +abit of black for the darker parts at the SP is mr. metal color #214 dark iron. for the wing SP blueish front is using tamiya xf-50 field blue the white portion is actually offwhite with tamiya flat white xf-2 added with a few drops of medium grey....i think that shud cover almost all the paints used in the g version.....any questions please shoot. i'll be gladly to answer....

firstly, thanks all for viewing and all the kind words...appreciate it lolicon, for the white edge lining at the missle pack(replacing the stickers) and all the blue markings i did use the gn-001 gundam exia decal from bandai, and for extra stencilings are from hasegawa's leftover decals from my atmo-booster project plus i bought some from mecha skunk decals http://www.mechaskunk.com/store-decals.htm regult, its a stock sniper rifle, i didn't do any mods nor alterations to the rifle, just some non-canon color scheme

hey all, thanks again for ur kind words....really inspired me to keep on modeling macross kits. WM Cheng, it's an honor to have someone like u pop in my posts and compliment me.... yup micky G, thanks for highlighting those..... actually this isn't my very first kit building, years back i did build some gundams and bandai vf-1 but all the paintworks sucks...i even gave up modeling kit for quite a while, until one day i read WM Cheng, petar B, HWR MkII, mechtech and alot others WIP n tips on kits modeling.... their dedication and all have inspired me yet again and thank you all for teaching me especially the values of modeling....u all (macrossworld) rocks!!!
