General TV & Streaming series thread

Season 1 is really good, Season 2 is pretty good (and it's very, very HBO) with a solid ending. Season 3 should be out next year, looking forward to it. -
Thank you for the multiple memories & experiences, both on the small & big screen. RIP Maggie Smith.

While I'm still not a fan of this "Re-imagined" design of the Ride-Armor... this particular shot does look pretty damn cool. And I make Zero apologies for being the broken record on this, IF, if MoShow Toys made a TV series original design Ride-Armor/Cyclone with this much detail and this poseable, sign me up & insert the Futurama meme of Fry!

The designs that Sentinel are using are close/similar to the TV originals but for me, I want essentially what Beagle/Toynami made for their Cyclones, for me that was as close as we got to getting a TV Accurate Ride-Armor and that's what I want to see a company like MoShow take a swing at, because from what I can see in those videos, that looks like a mighty solid toy without the perfection transformation headache. Below is an old picture of my Rand Cyclone, this is what I want, simple, clean lines and above all, what I grew up with watching on weekdays after running home from school in time to watch & record RT on VHS.

If, and that's a mighty big if... should MoShow ever go that route, unlike every previous company they need to go full CM's. They were the only company who did everything minus the Dark Tread/Shadow Beta. Besides the original 4 characters bikes, I want a Dark grey Ride-Armor. While I don't like knowing my $$$ goes to Robotech/HG I'm willing to look the other way for some accurate Cyclones, especially at that size.

While I absolutely do not like this rendition (design) of the Ride-Armor, especially the Motorcycle portion, I actually do appreciate the fact that this is a parts former. While I no longer have my MPC Rand Cyclone, that thing was a major headache to transform and from the videos I have seen, the Sentinel isn't much easier. The Articulation, details & tampo on this Ride-Armor are impressive and the fact it can stand on its own with no stand, I give MoShow high marks for that. So, to MoShow Toys, here's my deal to you, make a Ride-Armor like the original designs from the 80's TV series and I am on board with a big bag of $$$.

@Mog This is truly a good day to be a MOSPEADA fan for you... your Tread is finally a reality. With Sentinel re-releasing the ETA and now the Tread, I might have to go for it and get a set. That Tread looks mighty damn good.

We decided to give CIVIL WAR a try since it was on HBO Saturday night, overall, it's a lack luster film with very little to say (a few good scenes, but overall, I wouldn't watch it again). While from what I've read the director purposely gives no backstory on how or why the war started, details of how or why CA & TX are on the same side, why the US dollar is worthless, but the Canadian dollar is superior... If this was specifically mentioned in the movie, I missed it. Those tidbits of info with a dose of narration would have made this a far better film. While war correspondents don't carry weapons, given how crazy America is at that point, being armed would have made sense. The talents of Wagner Moura were wasted and that bummed me out, he was superb and allowed to shine in NARCOS but reduced to amateur dialog in this movie. One last gripe is the music/soundtrack... it's very distracting. My favorite moment in the film of "we see this now BUT never again" is Kristen Dunst telling the new girl, get a Kevlar helmet & body armor... you'll never see that helmet again, especially at the end when you would truly need it. So yeah, skip this one and give "Rebel Ridge" on NETFLIX a try, by far better or "Fight Night, The Million Dollar Heist" on Peacock. (Peacock is $5.00 a month)

Final episode is this Wednesday, so far, I have enjoyed this show. Hoping the finale ties everything together. -
If I've ever ordered directly from these guys before I don't remember, so we'll call this the first time & the verdict is, pretty damn good packing. I like the little corner protectors, that's a nice touch. Overall, no damage and my "Not Jetfire" box is in solid condition. Man, it's 1985 all over again & I love it. I think I've told this story before (Sorry if it's a repeat). Back in 85 a week before my birthday I was at a Mervyn's dept. store when they still sold toys and there were stacks of Jetfire's, I wanted one so bad. My Mom told me, wait & see what happens on Christmas (I was still at the age of, is Santa real?). 6 days later on Birthday I unwrapped my box & it was a Transformers Jetfire... still the best gift ever! Seeing this box art, the toy, the armor, man... actual happy childhood vibes today. Apologies in advance for all the pics.

Just the box alone looks awesome, I hope mine was packed that securely. My "Not Jetfire" just left customs in Chicago this morning, should be in Kansas later today. @tekering So did you just get one of these or are a few more on the way?

So... We just watched HORIZON An American Saga on MAX. Yep, it's a 3-hour plus movie that isn't terrible, or the worst film ever made, but it is no Dances with Wolves or Open Range, films that Kevin Costner clearly thought through from start to finish. HORIZON has a lot of faults, above all is a weak script & dialog, way too much back & forth, one minute you're in Montana, then Wyoming, Western Kansas then Apache territory & back again & again & again. Also, too many characters that don't really matter... like, you don't know them on any personal level, the final frustration is the last couple minutes of the film, it feels completely out of place. Kevin Costner's character & the female costar he's with almost plays out almost like Tom Selleck's character in "Quigley Down Under". (You either loved that duo's chemistry or you didn't.) Cinematography & costumes are top notch, no expenses spared there. The musical score is decent but hiring Bear McCreary, John Williams or Hans Zimmer would have been a better choice. In the end, it's a 3-hour movie where lots of things are happening, but it's so incoherent at times it makes it hard to stay focused. Maybe Part 2 will be better at putting the pieces together but, I'm not holding my breath.

This show is really good. Vince Vaughn is a total delight and the story gets your attention right away.
