To much good stuff going on here lately, I love it!! Good to see some Tomcats & VF-1's in the works... and yes, the missiles are a royal pain. It's been raining for two days now and my camera is just awesome with indoor light (#sarcasm), tomorrow should be dry & sunny for better pics. Here's my VF-19 Advance & VF-31A so far. I went the Bandai DX route with the decals for the VF-19... I figured why not. The Kairos is almost done, one more key element needs to arrive for the 19 to be completed.

@Lolicon Thank you!! This particular Armor came with the Yamato VF-1J Hikaru sets. I like the color of the Armor too, has that nice grey-green finish. @tekering I'm one of those crazy people who likes the Yamato 1/48 better for fighter mode. If this month is good $$$ wise I might just grab the DX and have that one for Battroid, can't argue that the DX rules in that mode & Gerwalk.

My TV style VF-1S is now complete. Been wanting this for a long time now & happy to have it. Pics are so-so, I'll see if I can take some better shots tomorrow.

Sometimes you just have to be patient, finally found a set of TV style 1/48 fast packs! My 1/48 custom Roy/Hikaru 1S will be totally complete now and yes, I will be painting the reaction warhead tips from yellow to red.

The idea that the Tomahawk has not been released boggles the mind, might just be my opinion yet I always felt that was the most popular Destroid next to the Monster. Guess you'll have to track down the old 1/100 models kits if you really want one. I would go broke over a Mac Plus & Zero release.

Every time I see a new post here I sort of have some hope that the 0S or Shin's 0A will get a reissue... that is not to be today.

Hi all, if I were going to paint my VF-1A 1/48 kit as a Cannon Fodder scheme, what color of spray paint comes closest to what Yamato used? Does that shade possibly exist? Thank you!

@peter I would say the VF-1 is a more pleasurable kit to build than the YF-19, mine is the VF-19 Advance and I'm having some issue with the fast packs, I can see I'll have to tinker with it so the parts fit. Also the piece that holds/swivels the feet is rather fragile, luckily I had spare parts handy. It's been a while since I built one yet I remember the VF-0 kits (Fighter & Battroid) to be very enjoyable.

@pengbuzz "Talk to me Goose!" Looking good!! @derex3592 Thank you! Just ordered some, looking forward to using it. To everyone else, keep up the good jobs. My Tamiya paint arrived today so I figured why not try them out, I wanted to do something different for both of these as my other 31A's have more of a Gull grey finish, I decided to try intermediate blue this time around... same for the 19. A small accomplishment today, more to go.

Thanks @peter, a Cavaliers is sounding more like the way to go as it was never produced in 1/48. Luckily I have a bunch of Hasegawa 1/48 decals I can use. The question is what are the proper colors to use. As for a DX VF-1D, I'm hoping there will members here who went nuts on duplicates and I grab one of theirs, by release date I'll some extra spending cash by then. Loving that Star Trek fleet, very nice. However I'll be keeping an eye on that VF-1J & Carrier deck kit!

Finally found that crazy thing called "Free Time" and will finally get to finish my VF-19 Advance kit. Starting another VF-31A kit because hey, why not. As for the 1/48 VF-1J, I bought this because I wanted to customize it as a VF-1D. Sadly my 1D resin kit appears damaged, the chest plate is warped with a crack and another part is missing... crap! I'll have to wait for a chance at a DX version then send it to @Lolicon for white landing gear. So for now, I think I will paint this as either a Low-Vis Navy or perhaps a Cavaliers Squadron. To everyone else, your projects look awesome!!!

I know I've said this before but if an old Anime were to get a reboot, I'd like to see Southern Cross get it. This series had a lot of potential & still does. Would like to Kyoto Animation take on the challenge! @tekering The 2021 is the clearest of the three IMO.
