Would be neat if they offered the external Missile racks for the tail wings as accessories!!! Just one more reason to buy it!!

Last night was depressing, but awesome just the same!! Now if you've ever watched the original Galactica series and saw how they ended it or what it became later as a series, its a tragedy. Where the producers/crew has taken Battlestar now is sensational!!
-
Wow, what an episode!!! I'm glad I missed most of the spoilers for once, so I had some suprises....very sad. All I can sayis my addiction is back in full force and I can't wait for next week!!
Chris
Its nice to have surprises once in an a while, last night was no exception.... definitely a sad episode!!!

After tonight's episode, the next nine episodes are going to be a bumpy frakken ride!!!!
-
That was a frakin funny video!! What an airhead!!!
-
I won't say anything to spoil it for others, but what a sad & depressing episode. All that work to find Earth destroyed. The scene with Starbuck really surprised me.......
But Dee shooting herself, that was really sad, she was one of the characters i really liked!!
9 more episodes to go....

The dark blue paint you used is a perfect match, looks really good so far!!

I've been fantasizing about a "25th Anniversary" shot for a while now.
I'm pretty happy with mine. I had some "I think I'm going to sell it on e-bay thoughts" this morning, but I think I'll keep it. Odd thing I noticed is when seen from the top, it's an absolute beauty (minus that ridiculous gloss finish)... but from the bottom it's er... more challenged ie. that hideous gun-pod holder, the much maligned landing gear, etc.
My final veredict. Is it a Yamato? No. Is it an improvement over the old Macross 7 toys? OMG YES. The emphasis on this was definitely quality. They slapped that metal in all the right places... I don't see this DX's shoulders self destructing anytime soon.
Just curious, is your VF-25 next to a 1/60 or 1/48 VF-1? Either way I think down the road I'll get a VF-25, I think they look pretty good, especially in Fighter mode!!
Well since you mentioned the quality seems high on these toys, maybe that kind of reputation will help Bandai to have the $$$ financial resources to make more & various Macross toys!!

vf 2ss 1/60
If we ever live long enough!!! If people has more respect or love for Macross II. we would have a lot more VF-2SS products!!
-
Welcome to Macross World!! Your a lucky man!! We should all live long enough to have GF's or wives who are that into Macross as well!! Any pictures of yoru combined collections? Take care Bro!!
-
Hey Hikuro, sorry to hear that bro, I've had that happen a few times to me as well, you wish you could take the people who create these viruses and flush them out an airlock!!
Well I hope things work out for you with the new Macross Zero episodes, Keep up the hard work! I'll be one of the 1st to watch them and give you a thumbs up!!
-
Not yet. I'll post some pics over the next couple of days. Though now it looks like I won't get the SD finished before I head back to work, it should only take a couple of weeks after that though.
We'll be waiting!!!

Macross Zero models that are either variable in 1/72 scale or at least other modes besides the Fighter. A VF-0D, 0C, 0A, 0S and 0B in Gerwalk mode would be awesome. Especially a 1/72 VF-0D. All by Hasegawa since their models are super detailed!!!
-
These 1/72 figures are fantastic!! may have to get a few!!

Misa! Misa! Misa!!!!!!

Since this thread opened, I've tried to vote and yet it is so hard to decide which is the better one.... I know its an evil curse word here, But I originally grew up watching the Macross saga of Robotech. (I warned you of foul language) and that was in 1985, that same year I got to see Macross DYRL. And in one short year my eyes exploded, my mind opened and forever a connection was formed to these Characters. Though the story lines of RT and Macross are apples & oranges, Its still Hikaru, Misa, Minmey, SDF-1 and the rest of the cast. You still go through their adventures, triumphs, struggles and losses. For an anime series, either way its an emotional ride. And is still my all time favorite series. And yes I own both RT & MACROSS TV series on DVD. Every time I watch them, immediately I am back in time to 1985 as a child and still amazed by what I see, its that powerful for me. Though the animation can be rough at times or pure amazing, its something to behold. And nothing in my opinion has reached such a level.
Then we have the Macross DYRL movie. How many ways can we say Wow, Holy Sh_t that was awesome!! Between the redesigned uniforms, everyone is part of Skull squadron, the new style of the SDF-1, everything is just even more amazing, special and deeper than before. The story is good, not as in depth as the series, but hey its only 2 hrs long, not 36 episodes.... The CGI, the music and of course Minmey's love song in the final battle are just true brilliance. Its all more than words can describe, however if you have not ever watched the original TV series, and this is just my thought, may not be yours. The MACROSS movie is impressive, but lacks the energy if you have never seen the series 1st. Its the connection we make with these characters that bonds us forever. They are anime characters yes, but after watching the whole series start to finish, they become more than anime figures.... its as if they are people we have come to know, respect & care about. Not many anime series can accomplish that. But either the TV series or DYRL are equally emotional.
Sorry for the long ramble, but Macross is very very special to me.

I've been following Macross for ever & ever, well since 1985. But I still learn new things about the galaxy everyday. Amazing to know that many fleets are out there!!!
-
Holy cow!! Are there really 55 different colony fleets!!?? Thats a lot. Although is 55 based on the series or does that also include the Alternate universes & video game time lines. Either good luck on your project, will be interesting to see it when its done!!
-
I think the VF-4 is amazing in Fighter mode, Its gerwalk mode is ok, but I must agree that the Battroid is not one of my favorites though. If they make a 1/60 I want it mostly for the fighter mode. But its fully variable.... even better!!
I always wondered since you only see the VF-4 for like 10 whole seconds in FB 2012, was it ever even ORIGINALLY designed to transform, or was that a later thought/concept on how it could be made as a variable Valkyrie?
-
I dunno, No Step stickers are not so bad, half the fun is finding the missing dropped one! (check under shoe first)
Its the first place I always check!!

Hey Hikuro, I noticed you took all of the Macross Zero episode 1 clips, will you be releasing them again to watch until the others are finished. Its the best way to enjoy Mac Zero for me, its better than my #^#&@*!! subbed dvd's.
Hope all your other projects are going well!! take it easy!!
-
Thats awesome. I did one of my VF-0B's as a MARINE squadron and the other in a F-14 VF-2 Bounty Hunters color scheme!! Although I need to get some weapons kits (missiles & bombs) for them!!
I have the pictures some where.....
-
Thats a bummer, those are a pain to apply. Oh well, its still an a amazing looking VF-1A. My Book shelf will have it one day. Thanks for the info guys!!!
-
glaugs and regults in 1/60 scale please Yamato!
You never know, just a few weeks ago, most agreed that a TV version of a Max VF-1A may never happen, Now there will all 3 of his combat Valks made. So with that in mind & 1/60 being the scale from now on. I'd say that Enemy mecha is on the way, sooner than we think I would say!!!

That would be an awesome concept for Mac Zero toys, especially if all the VF-0's & SV-51's were made and in each individual mode. I'd buy those!!!
