All Enemy, All Pods, fighters & power suits!!! TV series & DYRL!!! 1/5000 scale Zentradi battleships too!!! Same size as the WAVE SDF-1's.
-
That YF-21 is wicked!! If Guld had that fighter paint scheme, That X-9 Ghost would have run like hell!!!!

Just out of dumb luck while was at the hobby shop, they had small 3 oz. cans of Krylon's hobby paint/short cuts. Good stuff & cheaper than Tamiya or Testors spray paints!! Its called Antique bronze, but its identical to testors Jet exhaust color. Nice even coats!! As for the panel lining (Because I can not use an airbrush machine to save my life) I just outlined everything with thick sharpie black pens, and when the painting was done... Got the idea from here on MW, to go over the paint with a wipe down of watered down black paint, takes a while but works pretty good. A nice aged look to it. I've had a few free days from work, so once I get into a model, Its all or nothing!!!

Well this is the 1st one done. My new VF-0D in SDF TV series colors. I'll never be a pro model builder, but true what they that your next model is always your best!!! I am still trying local some 1/72 scale VF-2 Bounty Hunters decals for my VF-0B, so til then, this one is ready to fly!! Enjoy!!

Hey Jardann, Thanks for the good words!! Yeah nothing worse then when you pull the tape off and then you see those little excess paint spots that bleed through. But they're coming along nicely. I'll show some finished product pics later today or tomorrow!!

Helps to have a few days off to work on your new kits!!! A few update shots, So far they are lookin good!! A little touch up here & there, then its decal time!!

Just got my new VF-0B & VF-0D Phoenix's in today from HLJ.com and I couldn't wait to get started on them. None of the pieces are actually glued together, just primered & the parts resting in place right now. I never realized that the lower legs of the VF-0D are a little different from the others 0's. This will be 1 of 2 VF-0B's I'll be working on, got lucky off ebay the other night!! As far as color schemes go, I'm thinking of staying away from the std color schemes & trying something a bit more interesting!! So very much a WIP for now, but more to come as they progress!!

I was pushing 7 years old when Macross released!!! And it just gets better & better over time!!!

Hi everyone, well it comes to making a simple Hasegawa or Bandai model kit, I can do pretty well. However when it comes to something custom and from the ground up, scratch building is not my specialty. I have a few Macross Items I would like to have made custom, If you know how to mold parts, make them from scratch (Resin, Silicone, polystyrene, vacuum forming or fiberglass). Please email me, I'd like to talk to you and see if we can work something out.

thats kinda what I figured. maybe I'll get another one....Flanker camo scheme!!!!!!!

I haven't purchased a VF-1 1/60 v.2 yet, so I am out of the loop a bit... Are we having the VF-0 effect again!!?? Come on Yamato get this VF-1D right, No more SNAFU's!!!
-
From the ad, it does not look like a new pattern or anything, might just be mentioning that its being re-released like the VF-0B & Low vis. VF-1A perhaps?? Would be cool if it was a new design!!
-
No troubles Miriya, Either way any info is good stuff!!!

Part of Sumdumgai's post: Ozma survived a pineapple dish and got to eat it, Roy didn't. Ummmm, Roy was shot a few times in the back by a Meltrandi pilot, Pretty sure the pineapple salad didn't get him.

Your "hunch" sounds like an interesting one, i look forward to hearing more about it.

No new updates or info I take it. Well if anyone hears anything new.....

The boys from the SDF-1, Roy, Max, Hikaru & yes, even Kakizaki would have turned the Vajra into Lobster Bisque for dinner!! Roy is a killer, Hikaru kicks ass, Max is pure talent and skill, And for Hayao Kakizaki...its him. But he was cooler than Luca was. Just picture Roy & Max behind the controls of a VF-25....DAM!!!

As for the new paint schemes, they look great. And of course I'll buy them, because I keep thinking if I through enough money at Hasegawa Macross models, they'll make a Gerwalk or a VF-11 or a VF-4. Yes, I live in a fantasy world. Stranger things have been seen, A VF-11 & VF-4 could very well be possible!!! If so and Hasegawa making them, could it get any better!!
-
Hey VF-25, I agree with you that it is not part of the Kawamori or Studio Nue time line, I'm just saying that every time this discussion comes up, seems like everyone can't wait to find a reason why it can not be accepted thats all. Its like a 10th commandment rule or something, "thou shall not ever find a connection in the time lines....EVER!!" I like Macross II and welcome it as part of the series as an equal.

I'm always amazed by the people who quite frankly do not like Macross II, do not except as a valid entry in to the macross world. Yet can't stop talking about it or finding ways to prove the fans of that series are wrong. Who died and made you all the official writers of macross. You don't like Macross II, fine. But let the fans of it enjoy it. I've been hearing this debate for years & years now. I saw it 1st in Japanese, then Translated & even in the Theater on Sunset Blvd. in LA. Loved it then, still love watching it now. If you can not get over the idea of Kawamori not being involved, too bad. Cry a river about it. There are many ways that Macross II could & can be involved in the official time line, yet however many of you seem to feel the urge of finding every way possible to denounce that idea.

Will Yamato ever release the 1:1 Macross Helmet again
505thAirborne replied to dafunguy's topic in Toys
Don't forget Vinnie that Gentex is US Military supplier, when they make HGU series helmets, they make them by the thousands, keeps the price down. These are made from scratch, so a bit higher is price, not mention lower quantities, However $1500 a helmet is way over priced no matter what!!
