Your "hunch" sounds like an interesting one, i look forward to hearing more about it.

No new updates or info I take it. Well if anyone hears anything new.....

The boys from the SDF-1, Roy, Max, Hikaru & yes, even Kakizaki would have turned the Vajra into Lobster Bisque for dinner!! Roy is a killer, Hikaru kicks ass, Max is pure talent and skill, And for Hayao Kakizaki...its him. But he was cooler than Luca was. Just picture Roy & Max behind the controls of a VF-25....DAM!!!

As for the new paint schemes, they look great. And of course I'll buy them, because I keep thinking if I through enough money at Hasegawa Macross models, they'll make a Gerwalk or a VF-11 or a VF-4. Yes, I live in a fantasy world. Stranger things have been seen, A VF-11 & VF-4 could very well be possible!!! If so and Hasegawa making them, could it get any better!!

Hey VF-25, I agree with you that it is not part of the Kawamori or Studio Nue time line, I'm just saying that every time this discussion comes up, seems like everyone can't wait to find a reason why it can not be accepted thats all. Its like a 10th commandment rule or something, "thou shall not ever find a connection in the time lines....EVER!!" I like Macross II and welcome it as part of the series as an equal.

I'm always amazed by the people who quite frankly do not like Macross II, do not except as a valid entry in to the macross world. Yet can't stop talking about it or finding ways to prove the fans of that series are wrong. Who died and made you all the official writers of macross. You don't like Macross II, fine. But let the fans of it enjoy it. I've been hearing this debate for years & years now. I saw it 1st in Japanese, then Translated & even in the Theater on Sunset Blvd. in LA. Loved it then, still love watching it now. If you can not get over the idea of Kawamori not being involved, too bad. Cry a river about it. There are many ways that Macross II could & can be involved in the official time line, yet however many of you seem to feel the urge of finding every way possible to denounce that idea.

Will Yamato ever release the 1:1 Macross Helmet again
505thAirborne replied to dafunguy's topic in Toys
Don't forget Vinnie that Gentex is US Military supplier, when they make HGU series helmets, they make them by the thousands, keeps the price down. These are made from scratch, so a bit higher is price, not mention lower quantities, However $1500 a helmet is way over priced no matter what!! -
Future Macross villains

Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25 transformable toy thread
505thAirborne replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The Masterpiece Alphas have the worst landing gear design of all time. Because of that massive flaw in design on the rear struts & wheels, I just leave Alpha in the box!!! -
Best Macross animated production (1982-2008)

Do You Remember Love. Then the original SDF TV series. All the other series are awesome too, but these are the legends. -
Future Macross villains
505thAirborne replied to manwiththemachinegun's topic in Movies and TV Series
See this why putting up a post is a good thing and you get to see what others are thinking as well. Gives me a better idea of what the super vision army sort of was, is a there a GOOD copy of Macross 7 subtitled? I need to watch that one!! If there were a million VF-27's running loose with the same cannon Brera had or stronger, I'd put up the white flag for surrender, That's a tough fighter to go up against!!! Even the SMS pilots with their VF-25 could barely take them on. But Bullet101 has a good point too, Civil War between the UN SPACY, it could work. But human vs. Human, could that fit in with the modern realm of Macross?? Since we it all originally started with the Anti-unification wars, pre-Space war 1. -
Future Macross villains
505thAirborne replied to manwiththemachinegun's topic in Movies and TV Series
Since we're talking about future Macross villains for what ever possible series may come about. And mind you macross 7 is the only one I really never watched, couldn't find a descent subbed version. So maybe I missed something.... What about the Supervision Army? Have they ever been exposed or seen in action...ever? Are they still active, still a menace? Or are they extinct and long gone. I just figure that we've well covered Zentradi/Meltrandi forces, The Vajra and the Birdman quite a bit, AI controlled idols & ghost fighters as well as the Marduk (That's from Macross II which no one ever seems to care about). So I figure why not the super Vision Army. Seriously, why not? How bad an idea could it be? -
WOW!!!!! What an ending!!! What a finale!! I admit it was a little rushed in some ways, but exciting non the less!! All our characters make it safely, Leon's ass get busted!! Grace gets blasted into space dust, Rankas brother gets his mind back and helps Alto!! The Vajra help out The Frontier fleet. One of the best macross series (TV, OVA's & Movies) so far, only the the original TV series still holds #1 for me. But this one definitely gets a 9 out of 10 rating!! And the Monster at the end that Grace was in, Was that basically what the Birdman was or some sort?? Either way awesome!! Go to www.veoh.com to see some descent downloads, doesn't get as much use as other sites, you should be able to see it just fine there!!!

Technical or not, Still looks just like a SDF-1 to me. The point is it would explain why in Macross II they have a SDF-1 type, look a like ship. Say what you want, its still a Macross designed ship. You, me, everyone's thought in M Frontier was, how the hell did the SDF-1 get out here.... "Oh I see, they built other ships of the same design." Also I know what the Megaroad ships are, wasn't talking about those. The initial debate was how in Mac II world could there be a SDF-1. what I wrote was my imagination at work & thought on it. Not based on a time line, no one seems to agree with.

Get this young lady some digital recording equipment and a ticket to Hollywood!!! Seriously, I have been watching Macross DYRL since I got a bootleg in 1984, I have 7 different CD's with this song & I have always heard it in Japanese. This is a 1st in English. I have to say even with some of the lyric changes, which worked out great, its a wonderful performance!!

For MACROSS II to work: -Its not Earth, its a new Colony planet. Called Magoniss -Could easily take place 80 years later. ANIME...anythings possible with some imagination!!! -Explanation....?? Macross?? How about lots of flashbacks. Seriously. Members of Macross II are a super deep space colony with few ties with any other UN SPACY affiliates due to decades of hostile wars, tremendous losses. They are all thats really left in there zone of the universe. -Its the Macross II "Constellation". Hell in Mac Frontier we see the SDF-4 GLOBAL. (So we know there at least 4 SDF-1 type ships made. -Music is still a viable weapon on both sides. Just like the Vajra, the Marduk get freaked by humans singing, but have their own music acceptance and music defense. There, now we can make some sense of Macross II and stop treating it like "A drunk chick at a party" or a "Prom night dumpster baby"!!!

So a single-seater version of the VF-0D, I love the concept!! Just ordered my new 1/72 VF-0B & 0D from HLJ.com last week, can wait to get those in. And to Major Focker, I have a feeling there will be a release soon of the VF-0A, both the Low visibility VF-1A & VF-0B 1/72 are both in release modes. Oct is the due date for the VF-1A. So I'll put a wager on the VF-0A to come back out soon too!!!

Its a kind of a good point to say if Bandai doesn't get it right the 1st time, there's always Version 2. However, so far though Bandai is not winning anyone over with their 1/60 DX VF-25 design so far. At least the original 1/60 & Mac + Yamato's looked good from day one and were passable, they must have been, we all own a handful at least. And Yamato has only gotten better over time (QC is another topic). But will wait & see how Bandai does, Maybe when the VF-25 release's it will be better than we thought/hoped. And a VF-171 in all Variants will come out as well. And very true about Bandai & its licensing follies, if they have the Copyrights, then use & abuse them for their toy building ways!!

In Okinawa, Japan need to find supplies
505thAirborne replied to Evil Bones's topic in The Workshop!
Now that looks like a Hobby Shop to me, Wish we some like that here!!! Everytime I go to a Hobby shop whether here in KS, MO or when I lived in Los Angeles, they are always dark, dank, under stocked and no variety.....Rude as hell service too!!! I'll bet these shops have every type of Anime model, Car, bike & aircraft kit you could want with service & a smile to match!!! To just walk in and by a brand new Macross Kit, that would make my day!!! -
Holy Crap!!!! That looks awesome, So soon i will have a VF-0C in my collection!!! I'm going to buy the VF-0D too and have the full line up!!! WOW!!!!!
