Macross Frontier Episode 24 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
505thAirborne replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
In that case, maybe Macross 25 should borrow the BLACK-HOLE Bomb from Gunbuster, that should do the trick!! But seriously, how many more episodes are left in this series, So far its not looking too good for Alto and the others. Starting too look like the a real downer of an ending here. -

Ranka's brother & his VF-27 need to get blown the hell up!! Don't care if he is under mind control or not, He needs to go down. Ozma or Alto, either one....waste this SOB!!! -

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
505thAirborne replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I completely agree with DANTH, The tails can easily fit inside, and the pictures here confirm that. Don't get cheap on us Yamato, as your prices are Not. And for the arms, just use Aluminum or Diecast. To many issues with Plastics. For the tails on the legs, there is no reason why with newer technologies they (Yamato) can not make it work properly!!! -
Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
505thAirborne replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Sounds like we are getting closer to some type of release date or at lease a sneak peek....hint, hint!! When you actually get one Graham, let us know what ya think of it!!! I'm saving up in my piggy bank for this one!!! -
Bare in mind too that the VF-1 Valkyrie fighters were original designed as far back as 1981-82. High tech for the day with many features off of modern fighters for that time like the F-14 & F-15. In DYRL in 1984 The VF-1 Valkyries received an update in the flight controls like that of the F-16 Falcon, with fly-by-wire control sticks. As to the VF-0 Phoenix, I think Kawamori designed it to look very advanced with every bell & whistle on it, and as is usually true in Fighter plane development for mass production, everything that doesn't need to be there gets scrapped. and what your left with is a good solid/simplified fighter. Though of everything the VF-1 did not receive, it got the thermonuclear engines which made it a space bound fighter. Thus the VF-1 having a smaller frame, Better engines and a much simpler body frame for ease of maintenance. Just think of the VF-0 being an F-14. Big, beautiful, expensive & very hard to maintain. The VF-1 is the F-18 Super Hornet, Smaller, sporty, less expensive and a maintenance workers dream. I know this comparison is my own opinion and general, buts its the best way to describe the differences. I have my VF-0 & VF-1 side by side and every time I look at them, this is what comes to mind.

Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development
505thAirborne replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'm still excited about this future release because the VF-11B is without doubt probably my favorite Valkyrie design, as really it does not look or resemble any Modern Day US or Russian fighter I have ever seen. Plus a Gunpod with a Bayonet...Love it!! However, Yamato is being either very hush, hush about this 1/60. Or its a ways off from being done. Instead of a darkened silhouette of what they have.... show us a concept picture or something, So I have to agree on maybe putting this thread on hold til some real info comes out!!! -

YF-24: AM I THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS
505thAirborne replied to deadghost's topic in Movies and TV Series
Not sure about the B-1B Lancer reference, But the comparison of the F-22 Raptor & the YF-24 do resemble each other in some aspects. -
Hey RichterX, being a little sarcastic there...... Or are we just making it clear that a VF-171 is a no-brainer and must have for ones collection if they made it.
-
hey Hikuro, I finally got see some of your work you've been doing with the DYRL Movie. Sounds really good so far, especially who ever is doing Misa's voice. As far as the background sound effects, will that be adjusted, it does sound a bit off, or is that all gonna be done with the finished product? Keep up the good work!!

Macross Frontier Plot Theories...
505thAirborne replied to Kronnang Dunn's topic in Movies and TV Series
I am curious about the Shin/Sara theory, But I agree that in the end, that the Vajra & the events of Macross Zero are all gonna tie together somehow. We even see Sara's sister Mao in one of the Flashbacks... So lets see what unfolds!! -
The Fuel-Air Bomb would be a great touch, can't say you have all the weapons accessories without that piece of destruction!!
-
The VF-11B, spare no expense on Detail!! the VF-2SS & VF-2JA. And yes, lets do it, the VF-4 from Flashback 2012!!
-
Hey guys, I was just watching Macross Frontier episode 23, This series just gets better & darker.. I love it!! Now as my title suggests, is there any connection here between Macross Frontier & Zero. What I mean by that is, When you see the Vajra home planet at about 17:50 minutes running time, You tell me that formation on the planets surface does not look strangely like the Bird-Man when he was aboard the ASUKA II. Where the so-called blood for Mao was coming out. Also this series is so far suggesting that the Vajra can Fold in & out of space, yet they are creature like, have Beam cannons and explode like machines/mecha and Ranka is somehow connected to these creatures. Same with the bird man in M ZERO, Sarah was able to link up with it, the Bird man had giant weapons, seemed almost creature like and could perform a space fold as well. So is it possible that the Bird man was an ancient form of the Vajra? Maybe a smarted decedent than what we see now. I guess thats why I love this new Macross series so much, It ties lots of the old series into it and it tests your imagination, not to mention your curiosity as the plot is still unfolding. Either way, The Bird Man and the Ruins he was attached too, All came from outer space & not Earth.... So from where? So Not sure if this idea has already pondered up or I am the only crazy one out there with this theory, But this is just what came to my mind when I saw episode 23 today!!!
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Yamato does not have the licensing to Macross 7, hence no chance Yamato would do one.... Wish they would though, amazing to see how they make.
-
Yes they did make the SV-51's, however that was kind of a given.... Silly not to make them. I am referring to Zentraedi & Meltrandi units. But either way, only time will tell what these companies decide........
-
Good luck friend, Seems like Yamato is just not into doing Enemy Aircraft!!! (Were lucky they made Milia & Max's suits) But if they did do the Mac+ Battle suit, that would be awesome!!!!!!!!
-
Sign me up, especially if they make the VF-11B detailed as could be with FP's and retractable landing gear. Although I must say if they did the Gerwalk mode too, that would sweet!!!
-
I was too at one point, while I was at Universal City walk, a while back one of the toy stores there had both the MPC's and a few Yamato's in. I saw the MPC's and said WOW, then I saw the Yamato VF-1A and said "Do you take VISA?" It was a happy day!
