I saw those Tomcats a few times at the Van Nuys, CA Airshow in 97-98 ( I'm pretty sure), definitely before 9/11 when security went ape-$hit!! As the pilots were leaving they kept raising & lowering their front landing gear like they were bowing, Then took off at full afterburner. One regular pass, one inverted!! Good times!! Surprised no one has tried this color scheme for any Valk.

Actually your idea is a pretty good one, especially is Yamato is worried about making a profit on it, All gimmicks are a good one!!

Hopefully its an updated design/new sculpt with improved details (If possible, its Hasegawa after all). Working landing gear would be great!!

Macross Frontier toys made by Yamato, its no longer just a dream, could happen!! And I'll be saving up for it too!!

I would agree that retooling and building a toy from the ground up is costly, but kinda creepy to think the Spartan would not be a money maker for Yamato. Probably the best of the destroid designs (Next to the Tomahawk) and the only one Hikaru ever piloted!! (An kicked some A$$ with!!)

Glad to know someone else likes the VF-2JA design!! If they are popular in Japan, I'm not too sure, but for the wrong reasons Mac II got a really really bad reputation and hence the mecha designs have been dumped on a bit!! But everyone is cool to have their own opinion!! Fortunately "Ghost Train" I don't think the SAP rail gun would ever be used in the atmosphere, or the Pilot would be chewed out by superior for that!! But I say again, WHERE IS MY 1/60 VF-0D & VF-4 YAMATO?????

None taken, but its amazing how so many of other Valk's get even a chance to be appreciated and yet this one is just a WTF? in some peoples eyes.

1/60 Scale VF-2SS + SAP. Bandai will never make one, So let YAMATO do it and make it Accurate!! You know you'd want one Canon or no Canon!!

I like the YF-19 schemes, they look good ( a Low Vis all grey scheme would be cool) but I'm sold on that VF-22!! The Canopy design is the selling point for me, Color scheme is great too!!

Max's VF-1S looks amazing!! Getting one for sure next month!!

The 1/48 will remain king for me, I have now both Hikaru's VF-1S in both scales and with fast packs. Hands down the 1/48 is my favorite, size & durability!! It just looks so much more aggressive & deadlier! Oddly enough of all my 1/48 Valks, I've never had the wing-flaps or Airbrake come off or get super loose!! The 1/60 is nice, super poseable, detailed, its big plus of more tampo printing and in scale with my Zero & Mac Plus toys, but thats not an issue for me, Bigger is better!! And if NB4M were to make anymore 2 seater 1/48's I'll get one from him!!

I have 4 VF-0B (2 Seater) kits, each one has the Macross Zero logo on the decal sheet. But for what ever reason the other kits do not have it.

Such an amazing mecha design and well built kit!! Now we just need a 1/60 version with SAP and we're set!!

I love the 1/72 scale Hasegawa kits and all, but a 1/48 scale YF-19, count me in, I'll make room for it some how!! Just imagine the detail it will offer!! If its like Hasegawa's 1/48 F-14D kits then I'm totally sold. Plus its really not that expensive!! If they want to make VF-1's, the VF-11B or VF-2SS in this scale as well, I would have no objections!!

If there is to be a 1/48 scale YF-19..... SOLD!!! And with it being a Hasegawa kit, the attention to detail will be mind blowing!!!

Consider it done!!! You wonder if these DYRL Helmets sell well, Will Yamato attempt at making others like Mac Zero & Mac Plus??
