  1. That was awesome, cheesy and I laughed my ass off!!!!
  2. Star Wars "The search for Jar-Jar Binks".
  3. Its kinda sad when I read some people reviews of this 1/100 series, I really thought Bandai would do a better job. On the Collection DX review of these toys, the reviewer actually hints that the Toynami 1/100 is a far better functional design. Come on Bandai get your $hit together and come up with a better toy design!! Cause I want to see the VF-171, VF-4 & VF-2SS.
  4. I love the VE-1, But I'm broke for now. Hopefully either reissues will follow or it will be around for awhile. But I agree with MacrossMan, best looking Valk so far. Detail is astounding!!
  5. I've seen a few people on MW whip out the old spray cans for that proper color. In the SDF TV series, Hikaru's VF-1S Armor has almost a Green-Gray color to it. As where DYRL is a darker Blue-Gray. I agree with the others that the TV series Armor is not the most accurate color for the series. Tamiya makes some really good Airforce shades of green that would work really well!!
  6. This was the 1st true Macross Toy I ever purchased!! Golden Apple Comics in Reseda!! I think it was 1985... Wish I still had that one!!
  7. I'm sure this one is on the Yamato "To do list"!!
  8. When Both of these projects were made both DYRL & SDFM, the whole crew was referred to as sticklers for detail!! So when they did the Space scenes they tried to keep the colors darker vs. Atmospheric scenes with brighter colors. Trying to reference colors from a 80's Animes series can be tricky. As theres lots of scenes where Roy's VF-1S has Black & Yellow tail fins one second, next they are B&W. Max has green hair one second & then blue again, etc. As for the color schemes "reddsun1" posted, I'd buy Valkyries from Yamato if they came like that!!!
  9. I hear that, used to go to the IMAX at Universal City Walk, $10.00 more than a regular theater, sound isn't any better and really uncomfortable seats!! Saw Star trek and loved it, Didn't like TS. I'll go see Night at the Museum instead!!
  10. Poor Kakizaki, that guy just can't get a break!! Or a Sirloin.
  11. Thats one way to fix it, Came out nice & clean!!
  12. Its the one Valk I would buy no matter how broke I was!!! Love that design!!
  13. Thats how I first saw DYRL, 1985, 9 y/o. Didn't know a word of Japanese. Awesome anime, tons of stuff blew up and the music blew my mind!!! After that I was a Macross fan 4 life!!
  14. Come on, you know you want too!!!
  15. The Differences between DYRL & SDF Macross are Not day and night. Still the same basic layouts on the VF-1, But between the Character Designs & The Mecha, Kawamori & Mikimoto allowed themselves to add a hell of alot more detail to the initial designs. I prefer the DYRL hands, much more detail. Although the Meltrandi Fleet and Badolza's Flag ship, Zentradi Power armor were definitely tuned up!! As for the SDF-1, that is a day & night comparison with the TV series version!!
  16. Just way to many good scenes to mention!! Macross is just one of those series you can watch over & over again, No matter which series it is!! Definitely all of DYRL!! In the series, Episode 1 when Hikaru shows off in his Fan Racer and out does the Valkyrie pilots, Roy gets pissed, Love that scene!! Max & Miria's Dog Fight scene!! Love Drifts away, best Episode ever!! Again, to much good stuff!!! Macross 4 Life!!!
  17. I'm speechless, Its just to amazing!!
  18. That cell of Sylvie & Hibiki is awesome!! Looks like you all had a lot of fun!!
  19. 1/60 Zentradi Battle pods, with pilots that can be removed. This way you can reenact when Max rips out that pilot in DYRL and blows his head off!!
  20. Another Angel Bird VF-1A used as a Custom paint scheme!! Will look nice when repainted a 1D.
  21. Hahaha!! Now thats funny!!!!
  22. That Hikaru VF-1S looks bad ass! Looks like hes off to cause some trouble!!!
  23. Newsflash: T3 was not that bad, in fact its a fun a movie to watch and the acting is quite good. This new terminator was not a good movie and though there are those who say you can't touch Terminator or T2. Hire Ridley Scott or Christopher Nolan to direct and there writing staff, if you did then this Terminator Salvation movie would have been a 3-4 star classic. McG is a hack of a director and the studio is to blame for hiring him!! I went and saw Star Trek last night!! Loved it, might go see it again!!
  24. I was going to say that!!!
